Starling Home Hub

Starling continues to exceed my expectations especially with the new Google Home integration.

This app was written by a genius developer…and designed by a genius developer.

Now it disconnects from the network often even though it’s using Ethernet. Device cannot be found which makes all bridges disconnect.

Truly grateful to have this app / system setup. Indispensable if you have a Nest system and use the Apple Home app.

Fails to connect to Apple HomeKit from a security warning. Then claims it installed successfully even though Apple Home says otherwise. Good devices work out of the box.

I have been using the Starling Hub for a few years and it great. Easy to setup and works perfectly. We just moved to a new home and needed to install on the new network. I had a few questions for Starling as Apple HomeKit still had it assigned to the old Apple HomeKit (that I deleted). I contacted Starling support via email and received an answer (correct) within a few minutes. Had another question (again due to Apple) and received the answer from Starling again in a few minutes. Cannot said enough positive things about the company and its people. Best thing to happen to Apple HomeKit users.

Starling Home Hub has been a fantastic product that I’ve now used for over a year and never had an issue with. Even when I added a second Home to Nest for my parents, I was able to get it all working with a second Starling Hub at the parents house and properly segregate everything so they only have access in HomeKit to their home Nest cameras. Hats off to the team for really putting a great product together and an app that allows for the proper customization for different scenarios.

I can't say enough positive things about this app and device for making the Nest devices work in HomeKit. Messing around with anything else is a waste of time.

Setting up the Starling hub was super simple and very easy and fast. Setting up my nest, protect smoke detectors was also super simple, fast and easy in the nest app. Getting my Nest devices to show up in a controllable way inside the HomeKit app failed three times in a row (they showed up in HomeKit, but were displayed as “not responding”) … but I finally got it to work after 2 necessary factory resets, and the two more because I wanted to change the way they appeared in HomeKit.
