starryai: AI Photo Generator

Pros. I love relaxing at night, with a tv show on in the background (usually a Star Trek program) & playing with Starryai. Iv used other platforms & enjoyed them in different ways & got good results. In saying that, they didn’t have an in-house platform to publish my creations, Starryai does. Whilst one can get likes & rewards for publishing one’s creations. I personally just like sharing my creativity. There’s prompt builder functions to help out if needed & are a great help to get started. I recommend Starryai as a fun platform. Cons. A published creation can be restricted before publication or after, which breaks their guidelines. Which is fair, the problem is, iv had this happen & for the life of me in most cases. I couldn’t see any reason for the restriction. Getting an answer as to why or review of the image from admin is impossible. I had a previous account that got restricted for NSFW images (one can still create, just can’t publish on the in-house platform) I questioned what was actually wrong & what creations broke their guidelines & got nowhere with the person I was in contact with. I apologised many times in writing asking for a review & I would never do it again (not knowing what I’d actually done) I was told he couldn’t help me. But I felt he just didn’t want to. I guess in the sceam of things, it’s not really a big deal if an image here & there gets restricted. It was the lack of justification/reasoning that annoyed me. Then one day out of the blue your account is fully restricted with no recourse, but to delete one’s account & start from scratch. Summary. I love the app & highly recommend it for the creative amateur. This is just my honest opinion, your experience may differ. Thanks for reading, be well. Was a great free app I had over 1200 lumen now I have 2…yeah not good

My search was for gore, blood, horror, psycho clowns and this app was first one handed to me. It will NOT ALLOW you to do anything in this manner. ABSOLUTELY RUBBISH

It’s a great app but it keeps crashing on me. It also keeps deleting the wrong image. Will use the web version.

Its free which is great. But it doesnt pay much attention to your prompts. It has no contextual awareness. For example when you ask it generate an image in a certain universe or if you ask it to generate a card, it ignores your prompt.

Absolutely disgusting “guardians of morality”. Objects to anything that can remotely be related to nudity, however has no problems creating images of children with guns, children shooting puppies, children shooting at schools etc. Additionally any prompt relating to beauty generated images of young females - clearly designed for young boys :) The issue of allowing graphic violence is highly disturbing.

Ads need to be removed. They are adult content. Should not be on an app for art with no warning.

You have to pay and the free credits aren’t enough, make it 10 credits after 10 and I’ll be happy

I love Starryai, it is great for generating artist concept ideas which for me in my opinion is the best thing going for it. Though if you try to get it to generate human hands and sometimes faces, it does an awful job mostly with the hands. I have had some decent faces generated, but it can’t generate human looking hands to save it self if it had to.. I like how you are able to collect 5 free credits daily, but I hate how you can’t generate your photos to certain sizes that you only can if you pay for pro. Other than that, I’m mostly pretty happy with it and can generate great concept sketches that could go onto becoming masterpieces with the further assistance of a human :)

The actual concept of the app is great. However there are a few things that are really frustrating. First of all the app crashes or freezes all the time. It will not load pages and it makes the whole experience less than appealing. Secondly you cannot search for art that you would like to see, an example would be if I am interested in seeing fantasy images or portraits there is no way I can search. You are very limited, and overall I think the app itself is poorly created. The generator also will at times just keep throwing the same kind of images at you. I am considering finding another platform if these issues are not rectified in the next update.
