Stats -- For your Tesla

I would recommend that you look at any Tesla app other than this one. I purchased the full functionality of this app with a one time payment a few years ago. It has worked until recently when the developer changed the terms. The developer has now locked access to the app unless I pay them a lump sum of $350 or fork over $12.99 a month indefinitely. Who knows how things will change in the coming months or years for the person that pays $350 for this now.

I bought this years ago, and now they want $12.99 a week!!! I feel ripped off. Going to have to delete it. No way I’m paying that much.

Do not get this app, I paid for a lifetime use but got locked out by this greedy developer asking for more money. He will try to spin it like this pricing change is Tesla’s fault but it doesn’t change the fact he locked out loyal customers that paid for lifetime use just so he could scam more money out of them.

I purchased this app couple years ago with a lifetime license, but the developer has now locked me out of the app under the false claim of switching to Tesla’s official API. I can no longer access or export my own data despite having paid a monthly fee. This is outrageous and feels like a scam. The developer is exploiting loyal users by arbitrarily cutting off access and hiking the price to $350 to lure new users into the same trap. Beware of this deceptive practice!”

The App Store has become a playground for greed! Developers are exploiting users by changing their payment models from a “lifetime purchase” to subscriptions or by releasing a nearly identical new version of their app while abandoning the old one. This leaves loyal customers with no choice but to pay again for the same software just to keep it compatible with the latest iOS. It’s a blatant cash grab, prioritizing profits over user trust and satisfaction. Apple—despite taking a massive cut of all app sales—does nothing to protect users from this exploitation. As the gatekeeper of the App Store, Apple should enforce policies that prevent developers from abusing their customers like this. Instead, they allow it to continue unchecked, leaving users to foot the bill for the same functionality over and over. It’s time for Apple to step up, take responsibility, and implement fair safeguards for the people who have made their platform so successful.

I’ll join the chorus of the other folks on here. Paid a substantial amount for the app for lifetime, now has gone to subscription. Honestly wasn’t using it as much and pay for the Tessie app instead. The new watch integration is now included native by the Tesla app, so thats not much of a feature to hang your hat on to subscribe for.

I previously reviewed this app and rated it highly. I appreciated it so much that I supported the developer by paying for a LIFETIME subscription. Now I am locked out. I am still alive. The developer is still alive. So who or what died? Presumably the developer’s credibility. And some wonder why consumers don’t trust retailers.

I purchased the app in 2020 when the software was touted as one-time purchase, no monthly subscription as compared to competitive products. Well after four years (rather short lifetime) the software no longer loads unless I agree to a monthly subscription. Disappointed in this decision by the developer.

I purchased this app years ago with a one-time fee for lifetime access. After changing my iPhone, I couldn’t authenticate my purchase. You’re not honoring your commitments! I refuse to subscribe to your monthly plan since I already paid and feel scammed!

I’ve purchased this app for the lifetime subscription, and additional in app purchases. Now unable to use as the developer blocked users lifetime access with a new monthly subscription plan. App doesn’t do much more than the Tesla app, not worth the monthly subscription.
