Now doubt Stellarmate OS takes a while to get used to - but once you’ when worked through the odd gremlins (mainly end user setup), it works like a dream. It is an easy intuitive interface, and has powerful tools for automating almost every aspect of astroimaging. I use it on a mainly manual, ‘push to’ setup to good effect - allowing me. Completely portable setup. For those who seek an out of the box instant ‘ASIAIR’ experience, or don’t have the patience to work with a tool that seeks to offer an ‘internet of things’ to everyone, irrespective of the brands they use, then StellarMate is a great choice. Congratulations to Jaseem nd his INDI team.

Don’t waste your money! Even for free (but is not)is crap. £40 paid and since months trying to set up. Crashing lagging oh my god help me

The StellarMate app is a useful way of checking in on your Ekos imaging runs. It allows you to fully set up and control your astrophotography equipment that is attached to a raspberry pi running the StellarMate OS. Could it be improved, yes! It could do with a planetarium similar to stellarium , but all this can be accessed by using VNC to access KStars running on the raspberry pi desktop, this is my preferred way of using StellarMate. But overall the app works well. Where StellarMate really excels in in the support provided by the team.

Great little app for the Stellarmate Device

I’ve tried month to get this working, in 30 days this app crash millions of times all with in 5 mins after establish connection with the pie. I know it’s a free app, but still heart broken.

The new version 1.9.9 is now completely unusable on my small screen (iPhone 7) - it forces landscape but does not allow you to zoom the screen so you can actually read the content. And why do we now need to enter license information and serial number? I have the downloaded image version of StellarMate - while it does have a licence key it does not have a serial number.

The latest version is much improved. Keep in mind, this app isn’t really designed to run off of your iPhone. While it can be done, an iPad is more appropriate. Support is outstanding and the developer is responsive to resolving issues.

It crashes right away on my tablet.

I can connect with an iPhone but can’t use it because everything is so small, and when I use my iPad, I can’t connect. Will move to asiair. This is ridiculous. Whisk I could get a refund of my $50.

I have an axv mount with celestrons guide scope and wifi adapter so I only use the app to control my qhy camera. It works great for that. I can’t comment on any other features but if you need to control your camera via your phone this is a viable option.
