In 2019 the stone culture of the Bisan Islands was recognized as a Japan Heritage site, with the catchphrase, “Do you know?　 Islands of stone, where time leisurely drifts by. ～The stone of Setouchi Bisan Islands, which laid the foundation of Japan by crossing over the sea.
The Setouchi Stone Islands App describes the heritage and cultural assets of the Bisan Islands and introduces the unique stonecutting traditions of the area. There is a wealth of content to familiarize you with the islands, including “Island Love,” a collection of memories by local residents, and “Stone Island Columns” which introduce the attractions on various islands.
The app also has a “Navigation” section for easy recognition and location of the cultural assets, and other useful information for site visits.
The Setouchi Stone Islands App is the perfect guide to support your experience of Bisan stone culture.

The Setouchi Bisan Islands Japan Heritage Promotion Council, representing the towns of Kasaoka, Marugame, Tonosho, and Shodoshima.
● A daily step counter is included, compatible wih Apple HealthKit. (Not compatible with iPad or iPad Mini).
[Precautions]
・ Due to occasional inconsistency of GPS performance, some errors may occur.
The GPS function is used to acquire location information, and during that process you may notice an increased rate of power consumption.
・ Never view your phone screen while driving, as it is quite dangerous. Please stop in a safe place to use the app.
・ When the application is launched, it downloads the data needed for operation.
This may impact data charges, depending on the carrier’s data plan.
