The “stop here” app in the Apple App Store has stopped working.
The app requests location services be turned on when there are only two option in the location services settings, and the only option other than “off” is already selected.
Tried to advise the developer (metro trains) via their customer feedback website and Apple via their app feedback website, but both website are not functioning correctly to notify of the problem.
Well... I almost missed my stop
Looked like a great app. As a VI beginner traveller, this was meant to be a great backup for when the announcements don’t work... except it’s so inconsistent that I can never rely on it fully. Was trying to use this to help me out the other day and frankly, if it hadn’t been for the fact that I’d PTVed and knew the stops beforehand, I would’ve missed my stop. Push notifs didn’t work. Finding the nearest station stopped working half way through. Thank you for the stress.
Not updated on MERNDA line
Would have given 5 STARS but no new stations added on former EPPING line,
eg New stations extended after EPPING (1)SOUTH MORANG (2) MIDDLE GORGE
(3) HAWKSTOWE AND (4) MERNDA.

Great idea
This is a great idea in theory as I can’t get geofencing to do this for me, problem is this app keeps automatically turning tracking off. If I have to always have it open then there is no point to it.
Only for trains
What about the entire public transport network? Melbourne people often have to get at least two if not all mode of transport just to get from Point A to Point B.
Really useful
I have a vision impairment and amount of times I don't have announcements on trains is frustrating. This app gives me independence which I would have not had otherwise. I would like to see this app being used on other forms of transport such as trams and busses. Now there is a phone signal in the loop, I would like to use it in the loop too. Very useful especially when I'm listening to music on transport.
Awesome
Thanks for a great little app, perfect for when I have a little sleep or park at a different station.
People who don't have long journeys on trains probably don't get how useful it is
Point?
The reviewer below does have a point. I was expecting a journey planner but this app is nothing but. Well at least there is an app for melbourne transport out, this just needs to be reworked to suit the needs of commuters. We need to be having information such as: ie timetable, how long a train will be, train delay information, bus routes etc.
Totally useless
I can't comprehend how anyone could miss their train stop, deaf dumb or blind there are still adequate indicators. This is as useless as an app that tells you whether it's daytime or nighttime. A mobile version of Journey Planner has been critically needed for YEARS, yet you make this?? What a disgusting waste of money.
