Amazing improvement, easy to use, very helpful MAP... Very Well Done!

Let me give a shout out to SUNFLIGHT (NOT to be confused with similarly named but hard to use SunInFlight) which is written BY a Pilot, FOR Pilots. Unlike the competitor's APPS (and I have tried many of them) this APP allows you to input the departure airport, destination, flight times and altitude and VOILA - you get the sunrise, sunset and Prayer times accurate to within a minute or two, and it even shows WHERE the sun will set such that you can set a FIX in the FMC using LAT / Long or it will even display a map of the sunset location on the iPhone for you. The competing apps all require Lat/Long inputs while SUNFLIGHT already has a worldwide airport database, which makes it great for figuring this out before you fly. I've been using this APP for 3 years, and been thoroughly impressed with it. The only routes where it ever gets confused is over the pole, but all other trips it's accuracy has been amazing.

It's the best apps to calculate imsak ( start of fasting ) and iftar ( end of fasting period ) times. Don't need any table or approval from the company to use it too! I've tried it in flight from Sydney and it worked perfectly and accurately for sunset. Had a little trouble using it at first in terms of feeding the info in but after couple of tries, it worked nicely. Informations of the flight have to be made one at a time and only after pressing "done" after each entry then the apps would be able to start calculate the timings. A very useful tool to be used in Ramadan. As for a complete prayer times, not quite the apps to be applied - this apps only calculates sunrise and sunset dynamically and statically. Prayer times ( with the exception of Fajr and Maghrib where these two use sunrise and sunset ) are calculated by a method obtained from an equation of time and the declination of the sun for a given date and at a specific location using an algorithm determined by a muslim dedicated convention.
