SunVox

I keep coming back to SunVox over the years and each time it’s a magical experience. It is legit uncomfortable to start using it at first (as someone who is not used to making music in this way), but it never fails to inspire me to see things differently. Some of the music I am most proud of making has been made in SunVox. To have it available for free on both desktop and App Store is it truly wicked privilege that you should take advantage of.

Worth every penny and then some. If you enjoy making music, buy this immediately.

Sounds great, you can make full complex musical arrangements, it’s fun to use and is as easy or as deeply complex as you want to make it. Plus it’s simply a beautiful app to look at.

If you’ve never used a tracker, SunVox is an easy entry into a different world that is both classic and modern. With a plethora of presets and modules that allow you to create anything you like with a little knob twiddling, you’ll be making music in a new and different way in no time.

This is still one of the most useful music creation apps Ive ever used. All of it is perfect, thanks Alex!

After I installed iOS 18 SunVox would start crashing and freezing at random. I deleted and reinstalled the app and it did not fix it.

I hear, …I hear wonderful sounds! Marvelous things…stirrings… It’s quite beautiful. As another reviewer put it, The Swiss knives of Knives, if knives were Music applications. I rediscovered SunVox, again. And this time I think I’m mature enough to actually ‘use it’ now. And that you for the detailed PDF manual. :-) Time to start reading and changing the ways things sound.

It does feel a bit cramped, but that's probably because it has a lot of features and I'm trying to use them all on an iPhone. It's really easy to move everything around to make it fit.

I am brand new to the tracker workflow and looked around for some iOS apps in this realm and sunVox is far superior… I expected a basic amiga style tracker and this is pretty much a full-fledged portable DAW… I was already a fan of Alex’s other apps…. I am assuming this only went under my radar because of my previous lack of tracker knowledge… this app is a lot to unpack but just after a few minutes I have been able to get some really powerful sounds out of it… and the price is spectacular… I feel most iOS apps of this caliber in 2023 will cost at least $10-20…

The program seems intimidating at first, but once you learn it offered insanely deep options for sound design and audio processing. It’s also insane that this app is cross platform across devices, so you can work on your projects on whatever platform you’re in the mood for, which is crazy nice.
