Great app for video producing and editing
I use LumaFusion for my serious video work but always keep an eye open to what’s out there. This is an excellent piece of kit. Easy to use whilst allowing you to create some very professional looking videos. It’s well thought out with easy access to royalty free media. With some fantastic FX and video looks it does a lot of the work for you without stopping you being in control. I’ve used every video app out there and if you are not wanting to get to grips with LumaFusion’s complexity this beats all the others hands down.
- been waiting for this is tech in an app ! Only feature it needs is a ‘skew perspective’ so to alter the crop even further particularly when overlaying videos
It’s great to finally have a video editing app that integrates with SuperimposeX. Easy to use and bring your video clips to life. Still discovering all the tools with some helpful tutorial available through the app to get you started.
This app is not even close to being perfect. It has loads of issues. But since this app is so new (I’m literally the first person to ever leave a written review and the second person to leave a review at all.) in a few months, or even years, I think this app can be great. Positives: Better than iMovie (you see this instantly but it’s not a huge milestone.) Free No subscriptions No ads No data tracking (like idk how this app makes money.) Pretty easy to use. Literally anyone could work out how to use this app. All the essential features are down well. Nice transitions The way layers are handled are very nice. Your usual, great, SuperimposeX type colour correction. Very good slomo and Timelapse (up to the speed supported) you can use a graph to adjust the speed at different times without needing to split. And can gradually speed or slow down video. Easy to select multiple videos Negatives: Slomo only supports 1/8 speed. Timelapse only supports 8x speed - would love to see this cap potentially just be removing completely. Seemingly, just strange, button placement. Such as when there are two buttons when you first go into the project - just doesn’t make sense. Most things even slightly intensive you’ll need to wait quite a bit of time for (on an iPhone 13 Pro it took about 15 seconds to reverse a 1:34 1080p 30fps video. Optimisation would be great) also the progress bar when this is being calculated is very intrusive and stops you from doing anything else. In conclusion this app is great. I didn’t even scratch the surface in this review. Can’t wait to use it after a few months of solid updates. I have no idea how this is free. Best free editing app (doesn’t have ads or subscription so idk how this makes money. Doesn’t even track your data.)
As the title says, I’m basically a video editing noob but after spending about 10 minutes with the app I am able to do basic stuff with my videos such as cutting bits out, stitching bits together etc. Amazing that this is free!
Took me a while to figure out how to access audio files, for example…
Being using superimpose X for 6 years and the way this video editor is heading is freakin amazing. I hope you continue to add more and more.
I tapped on a button to allow partial Access to all my photos and now the video I spent hours making won’t run. ARGHHHHH! Now what?
There is so much to play with, don’t know if you can ever use it all! Great product! Wish it was on pc also!
