SuperScore Music

still waiting for XML-Importing.

I use this app together with the Roland FP 90 and connect it wirelessly with the piano. The app in “learn”-mode allows to play one hand (for example) on the piano and the app checks the played notes (through MIDI-in) while you are playing, highlighting which notes you should play next and turning pages accordingly. Another great feature is that you can also tell the app to play the other hand for you - so as you play the left hand, the right hand will be played in sync on the piano-speakers (using MIDI-out). Perfect! Unfortunately the library is quite limited and can not be extended at the moment. I am really looking forward to the MusicXML feature, which will make this app so much more useful.

Still waiting for the MusicXML add-on. Any updates?

SuperScore’s liquid music display is amazing! I have not found this feature in another music app.

I love the interactive feature which enables students to learn on their own. Many scores, even traditional classical pieces, include snazzy accompaniments which can also act as a metronome. I've seen my students' sense of rhythm, previously undiscovered, suddenly kick in when the accompaniment is turned on. With or without a connected digital keyboard, SuperScore greatly facilitates the learning and enjoyment of performing all styles of piano music.

As a teacher I love this app but more imporantaly my students love using this app for their practice at home. They have thought of all the features you would want to help pianists in their learning process. The solos sound like a real person is playing them, now a rhythm machine. The kids can tell the difference for sure and they love hearing the hands alone option too. Teachers, give this a try. You wont be sorry.

As a content provider I can hardly express my profound enthusiasm for this extraordinary new app. Others have commented on the unique and unusual properties of SuperScore -- it is a breathtaking tool. Simply stated I see it as a wish come true. Everything is at your fingertips. The visual display is extraordinary in its clarity and the fact that it can be sized is a bonus that will make its use a boon for many. Most of my materials include recordings of the music plus additional accompaniments. It is all there to see in displays that can only be described as intuitive. The user is one touch away from hearing the score performed with or without accompaniments. Kudos to George Litterst and Frank Weinstock for bringing us this sensational new tool.

SuperScore is the best app to combine music and interactive technology. Connect your MIDI keyboard or acoustic piano with PNOscan to your iPad and this app will provide you with score-following and interactive orchestrations. The music viewer is the cleanest I’ve seen and makes it easy to resize and view the notation. The partial page turning feature is awesome. This program was obviously created by serious musicians and is perfect for everyone from the newest beginner to the most advanced performer. SuperScore will completely change how you practice, perform or enjoy concerti and other orchestrated piano works. I know it is brand new, but I can’t wait to see the library grow and expand. My favorite music app!

I'm not exaggerating when I say that this app is revolutionizing music technology! I will disclose the fact that some of my compositions and arrangements are for purchase on SuperScore...but know that I sought out this technology and chose it as the only app publication format for my pieces! I'm simply blown away by the level of interactivity, the ability to resize sheet music (zooming in readjusts the entire layout), excellent ability to mark up scores with either their huge palette of musical symbols or by writing with your finger or stylus, playback and follow-along capabilities...I could go on & on. And for piano teachers, with the iPad Pro (which is the size of a piano book), you have a wonderful resource to become more digital in your studios. Highly recommended!

While there are many good apps that allow you to digitize your music library by saving them as PDF files, SuperScore is the only app that I'm aware of that does all that with the wireless page-turning capabilities and annotation features but also takes advantage of the Music XML format. With this, SuperScore displays music notation in the amazing Liquid Music Display technology so you can resize scores to whatever is comfortable and appropriate for the reader. When you pair all of this with the ability to play with synchronized MIDI accompaniments, the you have a complete digital musical experience for the 21st century musician.
