Bait and switch

A long time ago, paid for the original version of this, now they pulled a rug from under original users by plastering low quality ads all over, locking basic features and demanding a yearly payment. Ain’t happening, bub. Dropbox has a native scanning feature anyways.

Well-Made App, Scan Quality Could Be Better

This app is very well made. Scanning is easy for different document types. Auto-scan (app recognizes document and background) can be a bit tricky. It supports the platform’s share function and works well with all common cloud services. Definitely worth the subscription cost. However, what made me decide in favor of a competitor’s product is the slightly poor scan quality. The capture is rather pale (on comparable quality setting), and when I scan a document that is not so great in the first place (e.g. receipts), the scan tends to be mostly unreadable. On a traditional scanner, I would choose a darker setting, but I don’t see that being an option here.

Ads even for paid app?!

All of a sudden app is showing ads, even I have previously bought full version when app was called Scanbot. Don’t like it..

Expensive for what it does

The app WAS ok for basic scanning and uploading to cloud - but that changed this week. I bought the app years ago, and was happy with it. In March 2023 they suddenly pulled features from the paid version I have and started asking a monthly fee for me to get the features back. Now my paid app has ads, nags me about subscribing and can’t upload to the cloud anymore.

Was a great app

But since the subscription model it’s changed to being annoying. Every time I open the app it keeps pushing me towards the subscription, even though I have already paid for the pro version and won’t be subscribing.

Easy to use and works like a charm!

Seems crispy clear but heats up phone

I’m on my 7 day free trial wondering whether I should ”commit”. The scanned documents look a lot better and/or are easier and faster to take than with many other apps. But using this app heats up my xs iphone so fast and so aggressively that I have to wonder. Had the same problem with this app some time ago with my previous phone, thought the situation would be different with newer gear, but no such luck apparently.

Rip-off!

Paid premium for more features and continuous updates only to discover few months later that the app is now subscription based and new updates are only for subscribers. OCR etc. won’t work despite the ”help” from the developer. So i won’t be able to use OCR and other pro features anymore even though i paid for them. Massive rip-off and instant uninstall!
