Very good
Counts how many lengths I’ve done. I always lose count. Like the overall swim display and the graph of individual lengths with speed, rest times, stroke rate and swim style.

Attempted download x3 times. App glitching and bypassing any login process, account creation or linking with Apple health. UI feels poor. Wouldn’t pay for this in its current state! Come on guys, I’m sure you cannot this native naughtiness..
Ok
If you just want to use a SWIMTAG band then this is a good app. Trying to import from Apple Health/watch is useless. Got one swim in and then it wouldn’t upload any more. Deleted account, started new one after using a swim band at my pool. Imported that no problem, tried to import older swims (only that week) from Apple Watch….still telling me no valid swims. Finally tried uploading from a FIT file, and despite telling the app it was a pool swim it has uploaded as Open Water Swim, try and delete them and it tells me I can’t delete my only swim when there are three on the account. So like I said very buggy. If you’ve got a sports watch I’d just stick with that, if you are interested in doing the SWIMTAG competitions and leaderboards then make sure you use a swimband at your pool.
Spends half the time not even loading from the logo, constantly having to refresh the app to try and load it, it’s horrendous. Barely works
SWIMTAG is brilliant… i personally like setting individual challenges … currently swimming the equivalent of most of the lakes in the Lake District…(in my local swimming pool) shows you a map, plots your route, gives you distance remaining etc and you get an e.certificate when completed 😊
For context, I’ve used this app for just over 7 years. I’ve logged 439 swims totalling over 1000km and 14 days of swimming time. The good: As a tool for tracking exercise it’s been very useful - there are local and global competitions which offer great motivation for improvement and have probably meant that I’ve kept up with swimming when, at times, I haven’t been motivated to do so. Also, if you can’t afford a swimming watch and your leisure centre signs up for the Swimtag straps it’s convenient to use and the data captured by the trackers is almost as good as most swimming watches out there. The bad: The mobile app can be somewhat frustrating at times. If your pool data isn’t tracked properly it can be difficult to correct it using the swim editing tool via the app - it’s better on the desktop but only if you have access to a computer. The ugly: Death by subscription. As always, all good things come to an end. The new subscription feature means access to competitions is limited unless you’re willing to pay. You can also only import 4 swims per month if you are using something other than the Swimtag branded straps - I switched to a smart watch a few years ago and will not be swapping back. There are plenty of apps that offer the same functionality without the need for a paid subscription simply for uploading swimming data. TL;DR - if you’re using the Swimtag straps it’s worthwhile. If not, use something else.
It won’t let me edit the swimming distance nor delete a swim. Incredibly frustrating to use
I decided to stick to an app originally designed for running as they did swimming better than this app. Probably ok if you use the swimtag wristband rather than a sports watch
The communication via email is brilliant and staff are great at dealing with issue quickly but my swims just won’t load correctly daily and I’m having to email daily to get it corrected. The app worked perfectly for the first week of use and I do like it but it’s frustrating as this could be an excellent app especially for motivation for newer swimmers. Going to try one more option to uninstall/reinstall otherwise I won’t be using it again unfortunately.
