Tactical War: Tower Defense

The upgrades are legit pointless. Bought $3 or so worth of the coins to upgrade and it basically does nothing. Or when you upgrade the towers the game knows they’re a higher tier and it takes more hits to kill the units. Not sure. Everything is maxed and I’m stuck at level 9. How is it that everything is fully “upgraded” and the missile tower does nothing. It aims and watches the units drive by it seems. Was fun at first but now this games just annoying. One wrong tower placement and the game needs to be restarted.. not like balloon tower defense. I can get to round 100 easyyy. This I’m stuck at level 9 haha. Deleted. It seems other people see this issue and the developers were like okay cool story bro. We don’t care to listen. Fix the game and let me know and I’ll play this mf every day after work lol. I like the game and it’s sad that its design is this way.

Many tries just to get to level Five. I love a game of challenge and strategic.

I love defense games and this is the best one around. I always come back to this one.

I downloaded this game last Friday 12/13/24 and have been playing it non-stop. Tactical War: TD is very simple mechanically. You have access to 3 attack towers and 2 support towers, which you unlock through completing missions and earning cash to purchase new towers and their upgrades. Each mission gives access to specific towers and tiers, forcing you to spend your money wisely. Each level is different so you have to tailor your defense each time, making a completed mission rewarding. A perfect run even more so. I can’t recommend this game enough, I’ve beaten all 20 levels with 3 stars, and I hope to see more levels released. TLDR; Tactical War: TD is an awesome, simple TD game. It sticks to the basics while staying quite rewarding. 5/5 stars.

And I mean that as a compliment. The only gripe I have is that there are only 20 levels!!! Absolutely worth paying for the ad free version. I just need more.

Upgraded the machine gun to max for level 1 and it makes NO difference. Level 1 plays out the same exact way every time. I was hoping the upgrades would have made a diff but the dont.

It feels like a solid beta to a great TD game. Some variety in units, only encountered one bug where a turret was broke, a simple upgrade system and 20 varied levels. Still fun, loved almost all 20 levels though i will preface that this is a very perfectionist game! One wrong decision early on and you’ll restart later. That on top of the upgrades being very minor and limited make it harder and off of that i go to my next point, The only other downside is its a lil too simple, for example by level 10 i found the meta which is about 20 tsar cannons stacked in good range of a busy corner. Of what few towers there even are, because the end game of every level is increasingly beefy tanks, the only thing useful is tsars and slowing towers. Even the radar proved useless compared to simply more tsars in a good spot. Not saying they need 50 different towers and enemy types, but a bit more useful variety would help. All in all it has great potential for a fun little td game but can get grating fast and im a little glad it was only 20 levels. All 3 stars though so its certainly doable!
