*I reached out to them over four weeks ago with a detailed breakdown of all of this feedback with screenshots and device specs and I’m hopeful that there will be an update to this app soon. This program deserves a more refined companion app that this current version.* This review is strictly for the app, which has been frustrating. There are lots of little annoying things that add up to it just being a resource I don’t want to use. 1. Dead hyperlinks that just don’t go anywhere OR outdated info like referencing the Facebook group that doesn’t exist anymore. 2. A lot of the pdf “Extras” are formatted as pdf shortcuts, which just won’t open on the app. Spinning circle of death. Unusable. 3. I’m not able to scroll properly and get “trapped” on SO many sections. I seriously cannot get through 3/4 of the articles because it won’t let me scroll down! Maddening!!!! This is the main reason I rage quit out of this app. 4. Throughout The Total Success Guide, it seems like there’s accidentally a lot of blank space at the bottom of the pages (at least the ones where I can actually scroll all the way through). This is really just a poor design issue that makes the app feel less polished. 5. You have to go in and hit complete on every single component of the box, like all of the sub challenges and even the extras tab, to be able to mark off the box or a challenge as complete. Really annoying. Again, the program is great and the app does get many things right. I’m reviewing this as a busy mom of three who love apps that work as intended and actually bring additional value to the programs that they claim to supplement. Please please please fix these bugs! I WANT to love this app!

Will play other random phrases when I try to play audio files.

Absolutely love this program, and I have recommended it several friends and family. The app is fantastic, and it is so helpful being able to listen to the native speaker audio. However, it would be amazing to be able to search for a word or phrase. Sometimes I know exactly what I need to say in a given situation, but I have no idea where in the app to look for it. If this could be made a function, that would greatly increase the efficacy.

So I think the app is great but it would be even better if there was an option to search the book phrases without having to search through the entire app! I get so frustrated doing that I don’t even want to use it anymore. And it’s such a useful app! It would be nice to search for a word or phrase and see what matches so I can use the appropriate one. Please add that feature.

This program is phenomenal! I’m love recommending this to all my friends and family. If you ever had thoughts you were past the language learning stage think again! Talk box.mom makes the process so easy for EVERYONE in the family and it works. The app is easy to use and makes looking up phrases on the go a breeze. The whole team is so kind and will help you along any step of the way!

I learned a new language in no time! TalkBox.Mom is a very good app for people who want to learn another language fast.

I love love love that I can listen to a native speaker pronouncing the phrases that we are trying to learn as a family. My favorite part is that I can hear the phrases slowly and then at a normal speed to help me comprehend. We are loving talking in a foreign language!

I love having the native speaker audio available to me to help me learn German with my family.

It’s a great app and has been very useful! I have a few hopes for future updates: I like that if you use it with Apple CarPlay it shows the meaning of each phrase on the screen - so I would prefer to play audio on the app vs. the downloadable audio from the website for that reason. However, it doesn’t play in the background if you leave the app. That would be a great feature. Also - I have accidentally marked a section Complete a few times and it won’t let me uncheck that progress.

This app is making such a huge difference in our learning Spanish. We are using our book and our boxes more. Top notch service.
