TalkingTime - talking clock

I use it all the time skiing so i know what time it is without looking. Does the job and works great!

If you’re time-blind when you're focused like me, this app simply reminds you to look at your watch and move on. It would be great if I could set other times than only 15 minute intervals, but I make it work for me. I love adding notes for my phone to say at specific times. My students think it’s funny when my phone gets bossy and starts and ends class. “Class is starting, let’s see who’s here” or “Class is ending, wrap it up”. I also love the interface. It’s not pretentiously over designed and has what you need. This app actually keeps me from looking at my phone and has made me more productive. Really there’s nothing bad about it.

This app works beautifully. The initial setup can be a tiny bit challenging, but they’ve provided very easy-to-understand instructions to get you going quickly. Love this app.

UPDATE: Seller responded but his “contact the developer” link led to a static FAQ - not contact. Have uninstalled app and do not recommend. My phone did not start using the speaker correctly again until the app was removed I purchased this app and despite trying every single setting, they say to set - or unset - the volume is still so low as to make the app absolutely unusable. for its intended purpose. Very disappointing. If they can show me how to fix it I will improve the rating but right now - unless the phone is right up to my ear, I can’t hear a thing from TalkingTime. Everything else is at normal volume. Also, their support mail is tied to Apple mail, which many people don’t use. There is no email address given for Support just a link to Apple mail. So if you don’t use Apple mail, there’s no support.

It tells me the time. No complaints.

Awesome! Set chime or voice announcement for any 15 minute interval, bottom of the hour, or top of the hour chime, and or time announcement, and if you want, you can also customize your own personal announcements to be made at that time. Totally customizable. You can pick which times on the clock go off and which times don’t all the way around the clock. Plus, have it say anything you want at that time! Great for blind user and works perfectly with voiceover fully accessible. Can be used for anything that you need time announcement or reminders for. Well worth it and well designed and absolutely well done! There has not been a better Clock or chime app in the App Store yet!

Minor app updates continue to keep this my favorite timekeeping app. I am a totally blind person. For years, I relied on the Chime app to tell me the time on the hour and half hour. That app stopped working when I updated to iOS 15. I searched for a replacement and tried many. They all had some kind of quark that I did not want to live with. When I found Talking Time, I really liked it right away. I have been using it ever since. The only issue that I noticed is that the speech volume is not controlled by the ringer volume on my device (iPhone SE 3rd gen). The speech volume is controlled by the general volume setting of the phone. I normally would keep my phone volume pretty low. But since figuring this issue out, I now keep the volume higher, so I can hear the time announcements. For anyone out there missing the old Chime app, this is a great replacement. I hope that the developer keeps supporting it.
