I’ve been a student of Hebrew for years on and off. I’ve been attending services and try to follow the text in the siddurs but struggled finding the Hebrew text in an easy to use app. This will allow me to dive more deeply. Having the syncing is the perfect way to get the full effect. Thank you!
I really think this app has great potential. I am attempting to learn Hebrew in order to read the Tanakh in Hebrew, and I find this app helpful. The following are things the developers could do to improve the app: What I would love to see most is an option to make the text smaller so more fits on the screen. Adding separation between verses, like maybe putting the start of each new verse on its own line would clean things up immensely. Currently, it’s all just mashed together. It would also be awesome if they fix the quality of the recorded narration. The narrator himself is fine, but the recording of the narration is terrible quality and sounds like it was recorded in a fully tile room in the year 1900. If the developer is reading this, I just want to say thank you for the app, keeping it up to date, and taking the time to read feedback.☺️
The app is very handy, never crash and have different settings. All for free no adds nothing. You can read or listen as you please. It’s the word of G_D in the original language in your phone.
Recently the app opens to a light green blank page.
I love this app, except that Israel is called Palestine and nowhere in Scripture is the land called that. Being the land where the Philistines lived doesn’t make the land “Palestine” and Adonai never called it that. This correction should be made in order for the information to be historically and Biblically accurate.
One addition that would take this app to the next level would be to enable word selection for pronunciation playback. For instance, press and hold on a selected word and audio would pronounce the selected word. A
It is not user friendly at all! For one thing, you cannot see the verses as you are reading. I tried accessing it but could not. If you want to repeat a verse, there is no way to go back unless you start from the very beginning of the chapter, if you could find that. I also don’t find Avraham’s voice to be pleasant to listen to.
To get out of the tutorial, go to where it says" tap here". The X that is to the right side of the screen does not do anything.
Many apps claim to be historic or life changing. This app doesn't. But it is. My experience using this app every day for the past year is too personal, or ineffable to share here. But it has been real. My deepest thanks and warmest appreciation to the developer(s). They did the good work. P.S. I concur with other reviews that recommend adding a 10 second forward/back button.
