Close to perfect but the missing piece is really annoying.
This is almost the perfect counter app. With the free version, you can have one counter in a choice of colours, a choice of how much it goes up or down by, a very simple tap to count function. To reset to zero, shake, and you'll be given the option to reset. An IAP gives you the option of having multiple counters - I haven't used that myself, but see no reason to think it wouldn't work well. So far, so good. Unfortunately, there's no way to click back down a step if you accidentally give it an extra tap, which on a touch screen is very easy to do. You can't tell it "go back one! I didn't mean that!" - the only option you have is to reset the count and start from scratch. This is an unfortunate oversight. If your count accuracy doesn't need to be perfect, or you only need to do small counts, this may not be a dealbreaker, in which case this is a nifty, colourful little app that does what it says without unnecessary bells and whistles. On the other hand, if there's a chance you might need to take back a count for any reason, if you need your count to be accurate, or if you are doing a big number count where starting from scratch would be an absolute pain, then unfortunately you need to look elsewhere. It also doesn't have a widget for the calendar screen, though for me that would not have been a dealbreaker where the infuriating lack of any kind of "undo one" (I tapped and shook and swiped like a mad thing trying to find such a function) button renders it too frustrating for my purposes. If they added in this feature, this would likely jump to at least four stars for me. The design is clean and simple and (apart from the lack of this feature) very user friendly. Depending on your needs, this may be perfect for you, and the free version is well worth a look.
