TapTyping - typing trainer suite

Das Programm ist gnadenlos, was die eigene Fehlerquote betrifft, aber gerade das macht es so nützlich. Die deutsche Tastatur habe ich noch nicht gefunden (das erfordert etwas Umstellung) - daher 1 Stern Abzug. Obwohl ich noch lange nicht am Ende bin, bin ich im Schreiben schon schneller & sicherer geworden.

Ich kann diese App wirklich jedem empfehlen, der regelmäßig mehr als nur eine Twitter- oder Facebookmeldung absetzen möchte. Zuvor habe ich für jede längere Mail extra den Rechner angeworfen, mittlerweile habe ich den vergleichbarer Zeit den Text meistens schon fertig geschrieben. 10Fingerschreiben am PC beherrsche ich seit einigen Jahren ganz gut. Ich besitze ebenfalls eine kleine Bluetooth Tastatur fürs iPad, die ich jedoch so gut wie nie dabei habe, da einfach zu umständlich. Wer sich eine Tastatur fürs iPad kaufen möchte, weil er meint, man kann auf einem Touchscreen nicht tippen, sollte auf jeden Fall die 3€ und ein paar h Zeit in diese App. investieren und eines besseren belehrt werden. Die ganzen Textediton und Notiztools machen damit erst wirklich Sinn. Ob es für absolute 10-Finger Einsteiger die richtige Wahl ist, kann ich nicht genau sagen, hier gibt es u.U. andere Tools für den Desktop. Aber wer sich viele Notizen macht und öfters schreibt, kann mit dieser App. seine Produktivität wirklich steigern und die Mobilität des iPads voll ausreizen, ob im Zug, im Garten oder im Auto...

Tolle App! Erstaunlich, wie schnell man bessere Ergebnisse beim Schreiben mit der virtuellen iPad-Tastatur erzielt.

Very usefull app to improve your typing on the iPad. The only feature I would like to be added are exercises using the German keyboard.

This is an interesting little app, and it seems to partially do what it is intended to, up to the point that it crashes. After completing every lesson it will crash. Is this a vulnerability?

I just purchased this and although it looks like it would be a great app it keeps crashing. Perhaps it hasn’t been updated to work on the newest iOS version? But then please don’t let me pay for it.

I have a touch screen iPad with a keyboard, and since I was five, I could easily type on the keyboard. It was TapTyping that actually allowed me to further understand the art of typing onscreen.

Useful for learning Dvorak. Otherwise a 5 star app, I have to deduct 2 stars because it doesn’t sync progress across devices. Using a cooler master blue cherry switch mechanical keyboard, I physically took out the keys and set them up for Dvorak (very easy). I connected it through a USB adapter that I originally bought for connecting cameras to iPads. I changed my iOS Settings, Keyboard -> hardware keyboard to be Dvorak. Now I just peck type and use this app. Note that some hardware keyboards don’t work because they say the iPad doesn’t provide enough power. Bluetooth mechanical keyboards are kind of new and I don’t know if I trust them, but you can use any Bluetooth keyboard. Just print out a picture of a Dvorak keyboard layout. This works great and it might be better than moving around the keys. I moved around the keys because I wanted to fully commit to this project. This is my 3rd attempt at learning Dvorak (every couple of years around winter when I have extra time I take on this project and eventually get bored and quit). I wish this app had Dvorak tutorials, but it’s fine, and probably only .001% of users would appreciate this feature. The worst thing about this app is it doesn’t sync across the cloud.

I really love this app. I need to learn to type faster on a physical keyboard. I think it would be cool if you guys added a feature with a tiny keyboard with the lettering like on the upper right side as a guide. That would be helpful.
