I really like the idea of this app, but it is way too glitchy. You can only edit the profile once, and the main theme feature allows you to search for songs but with no results, not even if you double check and look for the songs they suggest for you. Too bad...

Does what it advertises

We all know how the narrative of "a promising startup" goes; Tastebuds is a great idea... but its execution is so bad it turned me off in less than a week. Tastebuds will slowly fade into oblivion - unless they get saved by someone who wants to invest in inferior coding/UI/UX, non-functionality, and almost hostile, cold and non-engaging "support". The web platform is infinitely better than the iOS mockery of an app, but it's not saying much in 2016. Overall, TB might have passed 5-6 years ago, but they have completely lost focus a long time ago (it seems to me). For music fanatics like myself, who want to make contact with like-minded people, I recommend online forums and going to gigs. Tastebuds feels like a graveyard in every sense of the word. Don't get fooled by this "free" app. You will need to pay $10/month to be able to communicate. Yes, you heard me. That would be the final nail in the coffin for me, as choosing to charge single users for POSSIBLY reaching someone over, let's say, charging advertisers instead... that is just what we call a VBI; A Very Bad Idea.

A really great app for meeting new people from around the world :)

The sheer lack of actual features on both the app and the website boggles my mind. You can’t change your profile picture if you’re not satisfied with it the first time around, and that’s not even getting into how the app requires you to have an account on Spotify (which I do not use) to find a wider variety of songs for your profile even though it says it’s able to scan your Apple Music/iTunes library. I would even go so far as to say that the claim that it can do the latter seems like false advertising as I did not see an option for that anywhere. Furthermore, every single match I was given on the app was for someone from my geographical area whose music tastes couldn’t be more different than mine. This whole deal seems pointless and I have no idea how anyone out there could recommend it or give it an even halfway decent rating unless they were just really lucky on the website version.

I’m trying to love this cos it’s great, but if I swipe left on someone, don’t put them back in the pool. I just continually swipe on the same people each time I log in. It’s not that fun.

These are just bots with outdated pics that will ask you to join a Google Hangout link. Don't waste your time setting this up. I’m in a major city and it has about 12 total women ranging from 19-45. Pointless app
