TaxCaddy

This is the worst app I’ve ever used.

I have uploaded 1099 from broker yet it still wants to link to broker. Have tried again again and again; still doesn’t work. It should know I already uploaded the document. Frustrated about the need for a link.

This has never simplified the process of doing taxes. Can’t say enough about the difficulties I’ve had. So many questions; some that don’t apply. Can’t this be simplified and improved? My taxes have been completed, and the results are that I owe both federal and state income taxes. Where are the vouchers to be submitted? This app seems great to those who use it to gather information. Try looking from the individual filing taxes, and understand that it’s not all that it’s cracked up to be.

The app remains obscure to me Upload via camera did not work FYI my daughters hr block upload camera worked easily You need to be a professional user or this software to make it work FYI the first year I And my acct used it I got a $2000 recall charge and $200 interest charge thanks a lot

I tried using my computer and my iPad to fill out the documents and to take pictures of the documents requested. It was very hard to use the camera on the iPad and it wouldn’t accept the photos on my computer. Once I switched to using my phone it was much easier. I find the app difficult to use because I forget year to year how to work it. It was very stressful. I’m hoping I got all my documents in correctly. The font size is so small it was hard to see what documents are being requested I would not say the app is easy to use

My accountant emailed the request to download the mobile app for TaxCaddy to help me organize my taxes on time to file April 15. I was skeptical at first, but after using it just a few times, and for a few hours I found it immensely helpful, easy to learn, and apparently, quite confidential and encrypted. I’m not the greatest record keeper, but with prompts from prior tax years, all the necessary documents were requested and uploaded for my account to use. I’d say five thumbs up.

I do not like this app and was much happier filling out an excel file with my totals for personal and business totals. So much trouble scanning docs with my phone and categorizing them. Also filling out forms in the phone like texting and forms not saving or not sending so I have to redo an entire rental property worksheet several times. It shouldn’t be this difficult.

It did not automatically sign me in with my tax office and now it’s such a process to figure out

I have been forced to use it by my accountants. It is glitchy, counterintuitive and inflexible

O am finding the app and the service it represents to be very useful. Makes tax season much less hectic.
