Magic Defense : TD

This game is really fun and cute. Nice little RPG/build elements and options. The gameplay loop feels pretty rewarding BUT only when you SPENT MONEY. Or at least the $10 to remove ads. I am more than willing to directly support a creator/developer with a kick back to remove ads but usually it’s a one time pay in. The $10/month model seemed okay with the benefits you get but I am not going to spend $120/year (theoretically) to play a game the “way it was intended” I gave the game a shot and it was fun but they aren’t getting any more money from me. (For reference I only spent about $12 on the game total).

So I’ve had a lot of fun playing this just there’s only thing i’m confused on. I feel like there could be more description on the characters. For example; I got lightning ninja and engineer at the same time, and I noticed that even though their the same rarity, everyone of engineers stats are better from what I can see and both have the lightning attack. I feel like I’m missing something because why is lightning ninja so much worse and basically just a worse engineer? I feel like there has to be something else that makes lightning ninja better than I think he is since their the same rarity, and it’s not like one has lightning attack and the other freeze or something that could make the seemingly weaker one better than I thought. I also have no idea what the lightning effect even does?? I just feel like a bit more of a description on certain things would be better. Everything else I feel however is great, and especially appreciate the no forced ads as it actually lets me watch ads for gems or something.

The game crashes way to often. This bug needs to be fixed. Pretty good game besides that but when I’m spending 10 minutes for one level and my game crashes before the boss, then it’s just a waste of time at that point.

I saw an ad for it and I liked that there was diversity in the characters but I was disappointed when I started playing. It’s a very simple game, a little too simple; you have basic starter characters from which you randomly draw 3 to pick 1 from; they have preset attacks and you only have to tap the screen to collect resources from the monsters they kill; when a certain level of resources is reached you are given 3 choices again with the option to pick another character, the field character’s special, or an attack buff; the game continues with this pattern of attacking and picking buffs with the only challenge being if the randomly drawn cards are the same character and special to maximize damage. As you play you realize unlocking other characters is difficult and is a gachta style cash grab to unlock characters. Even when you unlock characters you can only pick 5 to play the actual game with from the dozens they offer. Along with the gachta cash grab you can pay to upgrade heroes. It is very unlike the ad with diverse character selection, too simple with a low learning curve, and lacks engaging game play. Its simple art is cute and appealing but its not something you want to invest time in and feel satisfaction playing.

Basically everything that should be part of the game (i.e. 2x speed) requires an ad. I’d understand if they allowed a one time ad removal for like $5-10. But they want a $10 monthly subscription. That’s ridiculous.

This is a very chill and calm game. I like it. Keeps me entertained for a while. I do wish they had a just remove ads option rather than a membership

Stop begging me to give a review

I like the game but this design has already been done by so many other developers. If you want to get a huge player base and download you should implement new mechanics no other game has done before, maybe something like making the enemies act a certain way or something. But overall it’s a good game.

I go to the gym a lot and sometimes i get bored cuz theres no service so i cant play a game or anything like that while i workout. I found this game on a tik tok ad and it looked kinda fun so i thought ide try it out. I downloaded it and then forgot about it, i hadnt even opened the app. Today though i was doing some leg press and i remembered that i downloaded it. I grabbed my phone and tapped on the app hoping i didnt need any service or wifi. IT WORKED. Ofc youll need service for ads to get bonus but thats not necessary for me i like to work for my rewards. The game is actually super relaxing and fun to play AND i havent had a single annoying ad pop up and interrupt me playing it. Definitely recommend the game lol.

Games fun! But immediately after making an in app purchase the game started glitching and when I closed the app and reopened it it said there was a login failure. I can no longer access my account after spending money. I’ll gladly change my review if this is resolved but this is absolutely ridiculous Edit: this was resolved promptly, games still fun, updating to 5 stars cheers
