Thank you teachable team for reaching out to me and letting me know improvements have been made!!! Teachable is now better than ever! Seamless, secure, and user friendly! Very happy my purchased content will be there forever for me to use :) P.s. used to have issues accessing it with my iPhone. No problems at all now!!!! Woo hoo!!!
When changing the play speed and pausing the video it constantly reverts back the x1 speed. When you go back to change it the play speed remains set at whichever speed you set it at but still plays at x1 until you “recheck” it.
Bug fixes, where? Since the most recent update for Teachable all of my courses unusable. I cannot access any of my courses. The screen is blank and it never loads. Even after logging out and logging back in the problem is still there.
No keyboard shortcuts work with the app. AirPods can’t pause or play the video. It needs an update that allows the app to keep the videos in full screen and go to next video without shrinking the video down and having to hit full screen again.
I like this update wit the exception of zoom doesn’t work anymore. Anyone on mobile is at a disadvantage now… please fix
Works maybe ok but obviously the team behind it doesn’t seem to have time or resources to take care of UX Terrible cache handling which flash the page every time visiting master / detail pages. Download doesn’t apply to the entire course and you need to click every single episode to achieve that. What’s even worse is there is no indication in the list page to know which one is exactly downloaded
I worked hard to make sure that I could download my classes for off-line viewing, BEFORE I bought a recent class. I only have a small amount of hotspot data per month through my iPhone. I only have limited data altogether. I spent THREE DAYS downloading classes at public Wi-Fi so that I could watch my classes off-line! And I came home and tried to watch one of the classes offline and the app crashed! When I reopened it, all my content disappeared! It also said that I’m not enrolled in any schools! So, here it is, the next day, and I hooked up my hotspot to see if the app could discover the fact that I AM enrolled in THREE schools! Yes, it found the schools and my downloaded content. So I opened one of the lessons and started to watch it, and it worked. Then I turned off the hotspot and the Internet. I could still watch the lesson that I was open to. But when I hit the back button to go to a different lesson or a different school and try to open another lesson, the whole app crashed! This happened repeatedly! What is the point of having downloaded off-line content if you can’t access it unless you’re ONLINE???? When I reopen the app, once again, it says I’m not enrolled in any schools, and there is no downloaded content! So then I went to the help section to try to contact Teachable to let them know that there is a problem, (had to hook up the hotspot again!) and it said that I had to LOGIN to Teachable in order to email the Help Dept! Well, I was ALREADY logged in to Teachable! But, trying to make it work, I put in my login information. Then it said it was going to email me a confirmation code that I had to input to allow me to login on this “NEW DEVICE”!!! If it’s a NEW DEVICE, how was I able to download about 100 lessons, previously??? But, I input the new confirmation code, and hit the next button, nothing happened! I hit the go button on the keyboard and nothing happened! Three times and nothing happened. Now what? I CANT EVEN CONTACT THEM TO TELL THEM THERE IS A PROBLEM!!!!!!! I WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT THESE COURSES IF I KNEW I COULD NOT VIEW THEM OFFLINE!!!! THIS APP IS NOT OPTIMIZED FOR IPAD! IT’S ALSO CRASHING ON MY IPHONE! YES I’M RUNNING ON IOS 17! I NEED HELP AND I’M PRETTY UPSET IT CAN’T EVEN CONTACT THEM TO GET IT!!! WHAT A SCAM!!!!! TEACHABLE, WHY ARE YOU SO AFRAID OF YOUR CUSTOMERS CONTACTING YOU???? YOU CAN’T LIST A PHONE NUMBER OR EMAIL ADDRESS OR EVEN A WEBSITE??????? WHAT GIVES? ARE YOU IN BUSINESS OR NOT?
Teachable needs to offer more than just “auto” video playback options. The project to apple tv thru the mirror option produces a red null sign. It makes this app a bit unusable if you have to watch all videos from the phone only. Fix this and get 5 stars.
I appreciate the app. I don’t get why it’s not available on the Apple TV device? Coursera and others are. It would make it so much more accessible to learn. Bigger screen to read etc.
