TeachMe: Reception

My 5 year old loved Teach Me Reception. A well designed app that was easy to use, didn’t frustrate them with glitches and increased in difficulty as they progressed. Easy to track progress (for both the parents and child if your child wishes to) and highlights areas that need extra attention. Even though it’s clearly American it worked really well with the Australian curriculum and the American accent was easy to understand. Easy for parents to customize. They’ve now moved onto Teach Me Year 1 which is proving equally beneficial and enjoyable for my kid to “play”.

Love this app for small learners but where has the choice of language/accent gone?

Originally purchased this for my special needs child, to help along with his learning process. Have since gone on to buy "teach me 1st grade" as well, since it helped him so much! Now my younger children use this, even those too young for kindergaten! The kids love it, it's their favourite game, they think it's just for fun!

This is a great App covering the basics of letter recognition, phonetics, reading and spelling for Australian Preps. It offers you the flexibility to disable questions that are too difficult until your child is ready for them, so they have the opportunity to consolidate and don't get discouraged. My main wish is that they would offer it with an English or Australian 'teacher'. My child sometimes has difficulty understanding the teacher. It would also be good if the time spent in the stickers blues or aquarium was limited.

App which has engaged my 5 yo more than any other i have tried. Answer the questions, receive coins and then go to the shop to buy things has her completely absorbed and she is learning spelling, writing and Maths along the way.

My son loves this app. It's fun and easy to use.

Have to give a HUGE shout out to the iPad App "Teach Me" series. We have Teach me Toddler, Teach me Kindergarten and Teach me Grade 1. My kids LOVE them. My daughter likes to earn stickers for correct answers, whereas my son likes to earn coins to buy fish for his aquarium. WE LOVE THIS APP!

My 5 year old Asd child has used many apps before and this is the one he has responded to the most. Thank u!!!!

Great app, keeps my 4yr old engaged and having fun whilst learning a number of different skills. The rewards are a great incentive. Would like the app having a way to sync scores between devices. Eg we have the app installed on two iPads. One of the best learning apps I have downloaded.

Love this app my 4 yr old is learning to read! Would love to see a 3rd grade app made
