How does Tees Flex work?
- Tees Flex is an on-demand travel concept that takes multiple passengers heading in the same direction and books them into a shared vehicle. Using the Tees Flex app, input your address and we’ll match you with a vehicle going your way. We’ll pick you up on a nearby corner and drop you off within a short walk of your chosen destination. Now for the clever bit; our algorithms provide journey times that are comparable to a taxi and much more convenient than other modes of travel, making bus travel easier than ever before!
How much does a Tees Flex journey cost?
- Adult fares start from £1 (trips under 2 miles)
- Under 19s benefit from half fares on all single trips!
- Concessions travel FREE (subject to T&Cs*)
When can I travel?
- Tees Flex services are available from Monday to Saturday, 7am – 8pm.
How long will I wait?
- You'll always get an accurate estimate of your pick-up ETA before booking.
- You can also track your bus in real time using the app.
How many passengers will I share a vehicle with?
- The number of passengers you will share a journey with varies based on vehicle capacity and your chosen destination! Our premium vehicles can easily accommodate 16-17 people.

High demand
Everytime you try book one of these you get the same “High Demand, we’re really busy right now, wait a few minutes or schedule for later” Yet a literal minute after trying to book and getting told it’s in high demand, one pulled up the bus stop with no one on board and one person got on. When you can actually get one it’s a good service but most times out of 10 you can’t book due to high demand.
Another Houchen Rip Off
Absolute waste of time. There’s nothing flexible about it. You can’t schedule rides and can never actually get a ride. Absolute waste of time and money
Not really worth it
Bussed never load and takes ages to even get the ride
Brilliant service and brilliant app
I’ve used several times now and I’ve had no issues whatsoever.
Teesflex does not work!
There have been numerous occasions where the app crashes, the bus never shows up, the bus drove past me and never came back, the bus takes hours to arrive, dangerous drivers, In short, this app has ruined so many of my days. Use this app if you like losing brain cells.
Was good...
Won’t let me book a time and it keeps saying bus is on its way and won’t let me cancel the ride even though no ride is coming
Still charged after cancelling
Happened quite a few times, I’ve booked a ride then the pick up place has changed, so I’ve cancelled the ride. I still get charged for them cancelled rides . Also the app needs an update option, drivers tell us new pick up points have been set up, but they arnt updated on the app.
Worst experience ever
I booked a bus for my nan and they went and my nan was waiting there and they went off and messaged me and said we have to pay a charge for her apparently not being there and she was
