App kept on refreshing
I was never able to complete a transaction on the app because it kept on refreshing while imputing data and all the data is lost. It used to work correctly.

I was never able to complete a transaction on the app because it kept on refreshing while imputing data and all the data is lost. It used to work correctly.
Every time I try to record an expense, it keeps refreshing and all my data gets erased. To enter one expense I has to type everything over 4 times.
I write this review after being with TenantCloud for almost seven months. The app itself leaves a lot to be desired. Customer service takes no accountability for their mistake and simply hits you with the “thank you for your understanding,” without acknowledging that you find yourself in a crappy situation because of TenantCloud. First, TC takes a long time to disburse your money. While they claim that it takes 5-7 business days, my transfers have normally taken over 10 days. I reached out to customer service and they told me there was nothing they could do. I highly doubt their hands are tied given the fact that this is the whole basis for their business. Again, customer service did not take any accountability for why my transfers take longer than what they claim. In addition, a few weeks ago I updated the bank account where my money transfer to. I updated the bank account info, received notice it had been updated. Cool, nothing else to do. Now that my transfers are automatically initiated, I see a notification indicating this transfer is being sent to the old bank account, which was closed soon after I switched banks. According to customer service, their system does not accept my bank. But get this, this is the exact same account I use to pay my membership with TC. When I asked them for an explanation about why a notice had not been sent to me indicating the bank account had not in fact updated, customer service ignore my question and just repeated itself, thanking me for my understanding. I was also advised that the payment will go through to the old account until the bank rejects it, which may be “a while” in the words of customer service. How can their system be so sloppy when they share the exact same features as other big companies. It is the basics that they can’t achieve. Unfortunately, I am stuck with this company until the lease on my property expires, but know that I regret staying with you company.
It took me a long time to get accustomed to the workflow but I’ve overcome that phase and can easily navigate what I need to get done. I’m a big fan of automation and processes and definitely tenantcloud has helped me out there. My challenge with the app is it’s performance. With every click or a touch you the little wait circle that spins in rainbow colors. That is a productivity kill. For the new VC owners, please fix performance before venturing into new features and functionality. Not looking for a developer response but a call to ACTION to get this resolved in your sw release train.
Hate this app! Its clear that developers hate their users. It is not at all intuitive. The forced updates are the final straw- we are going to migrate to a better application for our business!
To submit a ticket request I have to go through way too many steps, but to pay rent it’s at the bottom.
They purposely make it where you cannot easily switch to “auto-pay” so you get extra small fees every month when you pay rent. I’ve brought it to their attention multiple times. Many updates and it’s still not fixed.
Do not believe or trust them, they take a deposit for rent and make you a victim, I cannot reach customer service for 3 days, I cannot leave the house and it is a ridiculous application, please do not use it.
I’ve been using this app for almost 4 years now. It was a smaller business and let you use it free if you had less than about 50 doors. It’s extremely hard to navigate the app. It’s not intuitive. Online payments are are slow and broken that we’ve given up and had our tenants just Zelle us directly. Which isn’t ideal. Now that it’s Jan 2024. I noticed that I was locked out of my account to pay a new paywall fee I wasn’t aware of. No email, no notifications within the software. I posted to their FB group but they censor and block any negotiate questions or concerns you’ll ever have. The people on their community group have fled by the hundreds. The ones who do still use their online payment system say it’s taking 5-7 days to receive payments. Good luck keeping up with bills if your tenant ever pays late. Glad we’ve been taking payments separately and instantly. No response from FB. No response from online ticket. Decided to call them directly today and they confirmed they added a new paywall and there’s no more free accounts allowed. I simply asked for my records from my account for tax season and proof of records. They told me I have to pay to get those records lol. WOOW. You absolutely lost me as a customer if you’re going to randomly lock me out and ask for payment. If you’re going to outright disregard my records for the past 3 years. There’s no way I could recommend this company. Flee and don’t waste your time here.
I use this to manage a dozen rental properties. The interface is very good and intuitive. It has a lot of good features such as a customizable rent roll, task list for maintenance issues that replace what I used spreadsheets for. The applications and tenant portal for collecting rent online and receiving applications is good. Weaknesses are connecting to your bank, this took a while and payments received are slow. For example a tenant making a rent payment on thursday morning and on monday it still has not been put in my bank account. There needs to be a method of payment that accommodates popular apps like cash app or a label that can be assigned to how rent is marked paid by youbgvtnants that use these apps. Overall I like it but they have to improve in processing times or I'll move to one of their competitors.
