Tenda WiFi

Like so many reviews, I have exactly the same problem; the Tenda app no longer recognises my existing wi-fi mesh. Why would you want to release an app that doesn’t work? Why would you not correct the serious bugs that so many people have flagged up?

Used to be able to see my three novas in the app and that they were working and change it so the bright green status light turned off…. Since the app interface changed I can’t see anything. Zero guidance or support online - just huge frustration. Thankfully novas still support wifi through the flat but have to physically cover unit now to stop it keeping me awake - ridiculous. No support either - awful.

Worked fine until we added another kit, it now crashes constantly. Not good

Fine for a few months then the nodes stopped linking. Tried everything but they’re still wouldn’t connect together. The main node continues to work well as a standalone router. Can’t recommend but if you insist on buying, keep the packaging so it can be returned months later.

While the Tendra nova mesh WiFi is great, the app is practically useless. Unlike most routers and mesh devices that come with a built in web interface to tweak ever setting you can think of, the Tendra app can achieve the sum total of ‘nothing’ squared. Don’t bother to contact support, as I’m still waiting for a response 4 years on. If you you are a technophobe then this is the app for you, easy to set up with little effort and knowledge (as simple as scanning the QR code) but if you, like me like to tailor your WiFi to meet your needs then buy something else.

Absolutely rubbish 3rd node unable to reset no customer service whatsoever Even the app i spent time labelling all devices to identify every device on network it keeps getting reset and back to square one

I also had good experiences with Tenda a few years ago, was happily surprised by the seamless experience. Now it’s seamlessly trash. All my mesh extenders have stopped working and despite deleting and reinstalling etc etc the app is unable to add the extenders back. So I’m left with 5 lumps of plastic rubbish to throw away and no internet in my house. Amazing how fragile tech, and brands can be, from hero to zero in a few months.

Similar to others - suddenly have to create an account. Done that. But the app doesn’t see the Tenda network I’ve had for years.

Like many others I started out very happy with my purchase and the system worked well initially, then the creaks started to show, first was the light plug switch failing to connect, which didn’t happen before the Tena system was installed, then the switch has started to be affected , can’t connect to internet when the system is linked directly to the tena node. Should have gone with a better system, can’t skimp on quality..

Every 2 minutes the wifi disconnects, and when I go in the app it says "service disconnected" even though the nova boxes are green. I then have to wait a couple of seconds for the wifi to get back on, and after two minutes the same problem happens. Does anyone know how to help?
