Won’t load
This app was really great the first time I used it, now it won’t load at all. I’m stuck at a loading screen for hours.
When things get better
Good communication is essential and TextMe is the platform
Annoying banner unless you turn on notifications
The fact that there is an intrusive banner constantly at the top of the app urging you to turn on notifications is ridiculous. It even covers up parts of the UI making it hard to use. And when you turn off notifications it comes back. Please have at least a bit of respect for your users.
False advertising
You can’t even call people.
app is too ad spammed
it used to be ok, but links dead end and ads make you close the app just to get out of them. now way back. missing back buttons in a few places
This app won’t launch
Update: Now it launches but it won’t send any texts. If I’m needing to send texts in a timely manner, this is a huge fail. I have perishable produce that rely on communication to transport at the right time. Previous review: For the last week or two this app will not even open. It just spins. I see notifications telling me of a call and text message that disappear into thin air when I try to read them. I finally deleted and re-downloaded the app to see if it would open despite it saying that if I did, it would erase its data. 70% of the time I try to make a voice call there is clicking and either the call doesn’t work OR the other person can’t hear me. So I gave up making voice calls with this and just used it for texts. Now here we are, what’s the point of a dysfunctional app that now won’t even open? On top of this I keep getting email that day I’ll lose my number if I don’t make a call or text!

Consider other options
If you text with more than 2-3 people this is not the app for you. Its always being throttled and messages just stop. For the money its not worth it. After a year of using it I am moving on.
Awesomeness
Awesome and easy to use I got my number literally in like five seconds after I loaded the app and it's amazing everyone should have this as a back up definitely I use it as a primary number two
