Let’s be real, £12.99 per month to get one match per day… that’s a rip off! It’s great idea to meet people with similar interest, but seriously one match per day?? And the match is controlled by the app? I matched with some other users but we have never managed to meet in person, due to their location etc. This should be the sign the design concept didn’t work 😭 I really like the idea to meet new people for breakfast but I never get any matches…
Loved the idea but user base is so small. Not worth the money. :(
The user interface is genuinely good, but once I’d set up my profile and had my account verified I found out that it’s a monthly subscription service. The subscription economy is just getting out of hand over the past few years, and the people behind this app think they’ve made a genius, social altering app to piggyback on it. £12.99 is absurd, I don’t know how their matches (1 every 24 hours?) work, whether they find people close by to you, and they definitely don’t subsidise the cost of the breakfast you have, so why do you think your app is worth as much as you are willing to charge? Would love to know if there is anyone in my pay grade happy to pay for this, otherwise I won’t be using this till they reconsider their charging fee.
Well designed app with good intentions but 12.99 to find a match without trials is a bit of a reach. Not sure if this strategy is the right one for the app, at least not for me.
Lots of promise for this app but £12.99 per month without a trial or welcome discount is a lot to ask for upfront. No breakfast for me thanks!
After a month of being the only person who want breakfast in Brum, and that there doesn’t seem to be any functionality in the app, I call it quits. Slightly more disappointing is the point where users can make contact free by “selling” their data! Doesn’t GDPR cover this?
I used the app in ante-war Russia and it was actually awesome. I had the best matches and made a couple of lasting friendships. Community around the app was very good. It really had a very positive effect on my life. Now in the UK it’s very weird: you pay insane money, wait for a match for weeks and if the person never answers you, you are still charged. Support says they plan to turn off the ability to look for matches in London as there are very few people. It’s probably a reasonable thing to do, but I’d rather wait for a match, even if it takes weeks, but knowing that I won’t pay for nothing. I’m really looking forward to using Breakfast in London, but the current situation is honestly less than ideal.
