It is not possible to read any news or journalism on this app without first surrendering your contact information, which not everyone is comfortable sharing. With the current rise of misinformation and radicalisation it is frankly baffling why The Guardian would make access to their journalism even harder. Horrendous policy I hope they reconsider
I pay for a subscription but now I can’t view an articles without being asked to register. I’m already paying for the access so why am I being blocked from using it?
Hi In the last week or so it seems that many of the links are not going to the right articles. Ie the story on KFCs Frankenstein chicken is linked to the Ukraine Russian conflict as is the story about a student’s death.
As a subscriber in Aotearoa it is great to see the Guardian playing an increasing role in providing informed and balanced coverage by local journalists .I work with a lot of young people and the Guardian is their go-to website for international and local news. Great format, great arts and culture, great photo galleries , great long reads. I like it so much I also subscribe to the Guardian Weekly and read it religiously. My children say they will paste my coffin with it. Thank you for everything you do.
Clicking article links from the main page often leads you to the wrong article. Restarting the app seems to temporarily fix the problem but it is pretty annoying. Hope it gets fixed soon. The bug has been around for a good couple of weeks now.
Love the coverage but would also love to read a few ‘impartial conservative viewpoints’ for balance.
The app has been getting steadily worse, but today was the last straw. I will not login to read articles ever. That's it. We're over.
Another big corporate trading on my information
The Guardian has slipped into a Dear Abby / Opinion piece / Find me a partner ... paper over the last 18 mths. Very poor form these days and some articles linger a very long time. Such a shame.
Still my go to for news. Great stories
