Started reading the Times a few months ago and I am much more informed across a wider gamut of subjects than I could have believed possible…

The subscription is just overpriced.

I have a Japanese daughter in law and Japanese grandson and I have been to Japan many times. I find this App useful in providing an up to date overview of events in Japan

Well set out and always lots to read. A great app and best news app in the region.

I was excited to find that The Japan Times had its own App at last. I appreciate the quality and variety of its articles. As I no longer live in Japan, I opted to subscribe to the “lite” version allowing me to read 80 articles a month. I would like to read more articles, but will not subscribe to a fuller version as I find the App disappointingly basic and old-fashioned. For a start, there is still no iPad version for this App. Articles are formatted to be read on a phone in portrait mode. Then, there is no order in the way the articles are presented. Other newspapers Apps also use this front cover approach, but they also offer a menu to be able to read together or trace back articles of interest on, say, politics, international events, food, language, society,...

I love Japan and Japanese news feed it is very insightful. But I hate the fact that it posts stuff from the New York Times which I have found very politically motivated, misleading and biased. Japan times needs to break the bond between them and New York Times. The west is opposed to the east.

I have been an online subscriber for a number of years. I had to download each days edition laboriously. Now I can access this fine informative newspaper on a daily basis with no problem at all. Thank you J T. Barry Paterson

The Japan Times gives a comprehensive coverage of important events, but also of Japanese sport, culture and so on. The app organizes all of these stories in an easy to access form. It is a must for anyone with an interest in Japan.

The app contains the news in japan, written in English Useful if you wanna get to know more about contemporary Japanese culture and society P.S could be improved by a better designed interface to make it more user friendly
