I know that apps take a lot of hard work to develop and maintain so here’s a huge shout out to the app developer for taking on this massive task. That said, the app isn’t as streamlined and easy to navigate as its competitors (Next Space Flight, Space Launch Now, etc). The UI feels more like a website than a seamless app. I downloaded this app mainly to keep track of launch schedules and am very impressed by the amount of data they provide or are working to provide in the future. I expect it will surpass competitors in the future when UI is improved, live streams are integrated, and all data is available.
Way better than some of the others
While yes it is still in development, this app has many more features than some of the “competitors”.
Most of the competitors only focus on launches, here you have launches, data, trackers, astronaut info, and much more. Can’t wait to see where it will go.
Best Space Update site around
It’s not even a race, this app is leagues above what the rest can do. I know the development team very well and know how much work it took to get this not only working, but thriving. Great job Zac, Kiennan, Jay, and crew!
It’s actually more boring than NASA’s website
I got this app from a YouTube link that was showing the live status of Artemis I. I figured the app would do the same, but I can’t find Artemis even mentioned anywhere. Additionally, pretty much everything I’m interested in says “coming soon“ and has no information in the meantime. I’m not interested in two-week old news stories I already know about, like somebody retiring and the Saudi space program signing something, but these seem to populate the app.
The upshot is that I figured the premier voyage of the world’s most powerful space vehicle, looping around the moon in a human-capable vehicle for the first time since the 70s would be enough for top billing on this app. Front and center when you open it? Nope. First thing is three unmanned rockets carrying boring satellites which won’t fly until next week.
Live Trackers? Surely one of those will be Artemis? Well, no. The two buttons that DO work send you to a website for which you don’t need the app. The other twelve- TWELVE! - don’t. Coming soon, though.
Astronaut database? Six buttons, none of which do anything. As a result, I haven’t the faintest clue what this section is for. You guessed it- coming soon.
If and when this app ever becomes anything other than a functionless icon on my phone, I’ll re-evaluate it and update this review.
Coming soon.
Oh yeah- good news… the merch store works perfectly.
Great App + Easy To Use
This app tells you everything about everything. Upcoming launches, rocket statistics, astronaut descriptions. Very interactive and easy to use. Good job making this Zac!!!
great app for rocket and space lovers! 🚀
This app is great! I am able to easily track the next launch and see past launches that happened on this day.
