The Observant Mom

Found the observant mom website when I was struggling to find anything similar to the wonder weeks app I had been using. It was an absolute godsend when I was struggling with my toddlers behaviour. When I started reading “ misbehaviour is growth” it all started to make sense. I can tell with the help of the app when my children are going through developmental stages and can find ways to help them. I have recommended the book/ app to many of my friends and my child’s nursery school. I would definitely rate it 5⭐️

I love this app…. Being a mum to two toddlers this has been so beneficial and explaining what they go through and how we can help and support them I have recommended it to all my friends with children!

After following the leaps for my son on the website and the books having the app is a lot easier to follow. These leaps gage always been spot on for my son and this app is fantastic and I will always recommend this to anyone who questions their toddlers behaviour. Since switching from the wonderweeks it’s been hard having to manually track where I think my daughter is. Obviously I’m very grateful for all the work Amber has done and makes available to desperate parents for free on her site but the timeline really is a god send. I can finally see the intense periods more clearly and it’s even more complicated than I thought. The timeline does have it downside though as it’s looks like we won’t be getting much sleep or peace for another year. Who said having kids was easy aye?

Hi I am so confused I downloaded the app but it doesn’t seem to work ? There seems to be no highlighted days then when I press my sons name one or two appear but I can’t click them when I press my sons name again different days highlight but again I can’t press these ? There is no info given ?

Really good to see the observant mum milestones in app form. Makes it much easier to see which one we are on. I have the book and find it’s pretty spot on for my child’s development. One small thing - could we get the weeks added to the age counter? The milestone will say it’s most intense during a particular week and it’s not always immediately obvious which week my child is at age wise, as it only shows year and month.

I’ve been following The ObservantMom website for a few years now and her observations are always spot on and having this app at my fingertips is well worth the money especially as you can add multiple children. Would recommend to any parent.

I absolutely love all of her work. This app is extremely useful and helpful (especially during those intense periods). I’ve had this app for a while and Everything about the milestones for the age of the child is extremely accurate! I recommend to all my mama friends!

I am so thankful for this app! The timing of my child's calmer times and more intense/difficult times are SO accurate. Like eerily accurate. It’s very useful. It helps me respond more compassionately when I remember that she's having a hard time because her brain is working on big developmental leaps. I seriously schedule things like photoshoots or trips for times when she'll be in a more sunny/easy period! The insight that this research provides into what skills my child is working on are fascinating! I'm so grateful for the work put into it and recommend it to all the moms I know!
