The Race - F1 and much more

Five stars for the content and the journalism. The only place a motorsport fan should visit for news stories and analysis. But the App is glitchy. Logging in with a paid account makes no difference - you still get ads etc (that’s even if you can log in). Podcasts are available to stream only and not download so useless when on the move and in areas of poor network coverage/no WiFi. You have to join a separate account for that. But an RSS feed is available to add to Apple Podcasts which makes a huge difference.

I use it everyday and it has been the best app ever. The only reason I use my phone everyday is this app Thank you for making this

‘The race’ reporters are great. This app is the worst. It’s always crashing. It will frequently spontaneously close while reading a article. Every time they update the app, you hope they’ve fixed it, but no. It’s been bad for so so long. They really need a totally new app for iPhone as this one is the pits.

I hope this is seen. I’m not happy. I’m a members club subscriber, I’m logged into the app, yet I can’t access the content as I’m fighting off the ad pop-ups and the video ads that play at full volume even though the icon suggest they’re muted. Something needs to change or I’m binning the app and the subscription off.

Great content but unfortunately the app still crashes frequently.

Too many pop ups

As always, the first port of call for motorsport news. However this app of late has become quite crashy, usually when midway through a story and it closes itself. Sometimes a restart allows the whole article to be read, sometimes a repeat crash happens. Usually find myself just heading to the web page instead

About 30 seconds into reading any story the whole app closes. You have to open it up again, cancel all the annoying adds and start again. Sometimes if it’s a longer read it might happen again. Surely this shouldn’t be an issue with an app in 2024!

Up until about a month ago, I would regularly get notifications from the app about news and stories. However, without having changed any settings on the app or on my phone this has now stopped. I hope to see this fixed as it was a very handy feature. Aside from that though, no complaints from me!

Love The Race, great site. However the app is a pain. Very buggy, too many issues. Latest happened after IOS17 install . Updated app now won’t open, keeps crashing. Tried getting in touch but have had minimal response.
