I just discovered this App. As a Kiwi this is a great way to follow the MLR. I’ve enjoyed seeing the rugby improve over the last few years. Go the Free Jacks!!!

Subscription function is broken

I received an email from TRN when I asked about AirPlay. They told me on the 3rd Nov that I could AirPlay from the app. Not sure where they received this information but I can’t. Why is this so difficult!

This has the feeling of an app from around 2010, there’s little functionality and what they do have doesn’t work properly. It doesn’t want to accept my payment for premiership rugby content so what I can access is poor quality and can’t be sent to a big screen, presumably because it’s 1080p a resolution also from 2010. The website is no better. You secured the viewing rights to English rugby, if you want subscribers how about you offer an accessible and quality viewing experience?

I just signed up fur ( don’t you just hate Apple Spellwrecker?) and what a disappointment. I can not mirror from my phone to my tv. I wanted to give thus one star but it is the Roku app that is a near zero as there are no Gallagher Premiere league available on it. The website and company are going through growing pains and there a quite a few bugs to be worked out. AirPlay does not work with Roku either. The video shuts down.

What a shame we can’t watch GPL rugby on Peacock any more. Have to use the Rugby Network App which cannot be screen shared with either my LG or Sony smart tv. Have to watch on a phone or my MAC!

I knew it wouldn’t stay free for long but now I can’t watch like 90% of the content now. I was able to watch a premiership game yesterday and now I can’t. Like I said I knew it wouldn’t be free forever but kinda sad 😔 the app itself is a lot better tho

I have no idea what these idiots are attempting to do, but it sure isn’t making it easy to subscribe. I’ve tried under three different email addresses, and there is NO WHERE A SUBSCRIPTION SIGN UP button appears. I rue the day they obtained the rights from Peacock. Sorry Gallagher, you lost a fan. Additionally, I’ve written to them and got no response. Let’s make rugby invisible in the USA. Fools….

Review is for the app and company. Terrible ux. cant even AirPlay let alone screen mirror. No Apple TV app. Now I have to watch prem rugby on my phone… big step back from peacock and the same price. Rugby needs increased exposure not less. They have zero form validation makes for terrible ux when signing up. Zero accessibility. Website and app seems to have been built by a budget offshore team or some kids school project.

They started to charge. This app is lying to you when they say we can watch it for free. It’s actually $6.99 a month. For premiership rugby and MLR? It should have stayed on Peacock. What a way to kill a sport, here in the US. No thank you.
