The Ticking Clock

As the other reviewer has said, these sounds are terrible. You wouldn’t want to sit and listen to them. The app is a total waste of money. What I’d hoped for was some nice wall pendulum clock ticking sounds and grandfather clock ticking sounds. The sounds in the app are just...weird.

Such weird sounds. Can’t think why you’d Want to hear these every second. (Crank it up to every .25 seconds if you want to go wild)

Set the time to 30 secs but it then kept resetting to a different time

At the moment this is a so so app, the sounds are ok mostly, but seem uneven at times. Several of them are poorly done, so rather than a constant tick you clearly hear that they are 1 second sound files, that stop and start each second. Making the tempo faster just cuts the sound short, which makes it pointless. So maybe in time this will improve, but for the moment it's not even worth 79p.

The idea is sound but the ticking effects are not, sadly. As actual recordings they work but they do not sound convincing when selected, despite being able to refine the interval. Also, the interface shows a digital clock which when you consider this is an app that features analogue effects seems a bit incongruous. In addition, a free app with in app purchases would leave me feeling slightly less "had". Better to offer three good realistic sound effects and then invite people to buy other "clocks" than have people risk 79p!

You have to touch the blue trimmer and do the seconds not minutes. But it will do 59 minutes and 59 seconds. As the highest time. I use it to time for a task. So I can get it done as fast as possible. The ticking keeps me on track and is a motivator. You don’t realize how much time you waste and how quick you actual can complete tasks. Would be easier if they could update to include just any desired time.

If you’re hypersensitive to slight variations between ticks from recordings of actual clocks on youtube (moving microphone around, multipart ticks with dragged out complex sounds, clocks where every other tick is a different pitch etc) the default tick in this app is a clean precise simple short sound that’s the same every time. This lets it actually work as calming background noise rather than just being irritating even if you’re very attuned to small details. Also it goes forever so there’s no lag for switching tracks like an audio clip on loop.

I wanted to use this app for a homemade game show. There were not many options for the ticking sound and I only discovered after purchasing the app that it didn't offer options for time less than 1 minute. I've deleted the app and can't recommend owing to these limitations.

Timer function does not work even tho you can 'set lt', only the ticking clock which by itself is pretty useless.
