Gathering supplies to craft and sell in order to progress is the only gameplay loop. You would think it gets old but the music and art style presents such a calming and unique tone. You can tell the devs adore their game. Absolutely addicting.

After putting about 8 hours into the game, I can honestly say that it’s an overall pleasant experience. There is much that can be accomplished without paying for anything. With time and determination you can craft the upgrades needed to continue without passing out on the trail. The free ad supported bonuses are very generous in this aspect. Some areas that I would like to see improvement in are: 1: slingshot hunting, at times the camera angles get unaligned and it becomes impossible to see the animal you are hunting. Also the slingshot can be unpredictable to aim. 2: wood chopping: the accuracy of axe strikes can be INCREDIBLY unreliable often leading to broken tools without felling a tree. 3: item splitting: when you unlock the storage container and bigger backpacks. Items can be stacked, which is very convenient. However, there doesn’t seem to be a way to separate them other than in crafting, which can make organizing somewhat difficult. Honestly so far, those are my biggest gripes. Otherwise there is a lot of content to explore in a beautiful environment, many upgrades to pursue, and when you settle in a town there’s fulfillment in helping each other grow the settlement. I’m eager to see how the developers will grow the game as time goes on.

Updating: Came back to this and it’s become disturbing. People have figured out how to hack the game, maybe through manipulating the iCloud backup? I wouldn’t care but they quickly dominate the warehouse with exotic items and other players are not able to participate. If that wasn’t bad enough, others are going around soliciting people with rare items and the promise of “good” towns, and all you have to do is connect over your social media. That seems ridiculously unsafe. Do not let your kids play this game. ———— I really wanted to like this game. Reviews were great and it still works to a point. Honestly my own fault for not noticing it hasn’t been updated in three years. Apple - there should be a time limit to Editor’s Choice based on app updates. Biggest problem for me is there’s some kind of bug where it will not save your progress correctly - I can’t invest time into this and come back the next day only to find that hours of results are gone. One step forward, two steps back is just not fun. And reading the recent, negative reviews looks like there’s other problems as well. I’ll keep it on my phone but not actively investing time into this anymore

The game keeps crashing upon opening and then at instances when you leave your home. Very disappointing. An update for bug fixes and just overall smoothing everything out is much needed for a game with high such potential.

A mixture of adventure, survival, crafting, and town building without the obsessive use of violence, dark fantasy, nor intense danger scenarios. An entertaining game for everyone with no toxicity.

This is my first AppStore review so this really means a lot to me. This used to be my favorite game and I genuinely recommended it to others. Now it won’t let me download it on my phone only my iPad. Once I downloaded it on my iPad I remembered why I deleted it. When you walk on the trail you loose hearts abnormally fast it must be a glitch. But within literally ( I’m not exaggerating I counted )5 seconds of leaving a campfire base on the lowest speed possible I lost half of my hearts. ( I was at 5 hearts) And I had good shoes on. My entire backpack is filled with food so I can maybe make the trip. I used to love this game and played it in any moment of free time it’s an amazing game with nothing like it that I’ve found. Please fix it please please.
