The Urantia Book

The Urantia Book is simply the teachings of our Central Universe, our Local Universe, our Planet, and our beloved Creator Son. The truth exists in these pages by a devoted cadre of illuminated individuals. My adoration and whole-hearted worship for the Father and the Trinity. My respect and admiration to the Authors of this Book and to all my contemporaries. May God bless you with His love and wisdom. Special thanks to my long divine Adjuster. I like the app for the Urantia Revelation. I have mine set to open with a quote each time, but if I want to bookmark that quote, I have to back out to the main level of the contents before a bookmark button appears. It would be much easier to also have the bookmarks button at the quote page as well, so that quote, or the paper where that quote is from to be bookmarked without having to leave the quote. Otherwise, it is a fine app. Thank you.

So glad to be able to read it on my phone every day. This is my second time through reading the Urantia book.

I discovered The Urantia Book via a friend back in the early eighties, and have been reading it ever since. Joining a study group gave me a deeper understanding as we all stretched our minds to take in such superior knowledge. I can’t imagine not having access to both the book and a study group of like minded individuals. It rocked my world giving me a deeper knowledge not just of the beginnings of life on our planet, but more importantly, a deeper understanding of God, His universe and how He interacts with us, His children.

I never cease to be amazed at reading this book despite reading it again and again more than 45 years. The originality, the perfect and succinct English, the faith in our humanity, the insistence on God’s goodness and existence, the stories about Jesus, I find it unparalleled to anything else I’ve ever read. It weaves together like a great symphony where every part is melodic and important. There is nothing else like it on earth. What a joy to read. It’s teachings have helped make me a better and kinder human being and have fostered my faith in God and humanity.

Great app, does what it needs to do, I have been using it for years. Great search capabilities.

I use this app every day. It helps me to be able to go over a chapter each day in the Urantia Book, which helps me too come to understand God and his loving plan of progression for us. I am not a good reader, so I have a little secret to share and how I use this app. Go into settings, then accessibility, then Spoken content, then (Turn on) speak screen.This allows you to be able to swipe down with two fingers from the top of the screen and be able to listen to the entire chapter.The voice that I select is Siri voice 1, from the UK. This female voice is excellent for listening to books. I also recommend for new readers, to start by reading the life of Jesus in the third part. It is wonderful to be able to hear more of the life and teachings of Jesus Christ and to be able to grow in my understanding and love for God and his beloved son. The Urantia Book should not replace your Reading in the Scriptures. As a child I used to think that the Bible was difficult to read, but after reading in the Urantia Book, the Bible is actually not as difficult as I thought. The Urantia Book is not for everyone. You definitely need a good foundation and relationship with God first. Also have a good foundation in reading the New Testament. And be a church goer. Do not let the expansion and knowledge of the Urantia Book to hurt your Basic Christian understanding. Do not try to share these expanded ideas at church. I would not even recommend sharing this with your spouse or your kids until they have a good foundation. So far I have only shared it with one of my four adult kids and of course it has been wonderful to be able to share it with him. He has a good foundation in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, as do I. My husband & other adult kids are not yet ready to receive the Urantia revelation, and that’s okay. it is better for them to be active in church with a sturdy foundation, then to present them with some thing that they are not ready to receive. If you have a good Christian foundation and relationship with God, if you read the Scriptures daily, if you are an Active Christian church goer, and if you long to come to know more about our loving Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ, then the Urantia Book could be for you, but take it slow, and make sure that you make time to have quiet time with God every day. This four chapter book simply defies any simple explanation. This does not imply complex intelligence and aptitude to understand and follow the truths that are presented so beautifully. There are simple as well as complex presentations on a vast scale to anyone employing a fiery curiosity as well as a modicum of dedication to understanding. I personally characterize the 4th chapter as “the thinking mans bible” as regards the deep spiritual content and emotional detail associated with Jesus life in the flesh. There are numerous portions throughout the book that are difficult if not impossible of comprehension but this is not a complaint, just a notation of our limitations of our understanding. There are numerous “gems of wisdom” that stopped me in my tracks as I read them. It became very evident throughout the volumes that “They” have a deep and vast understanding of human nature, our strengths as well as our many weaknesses. The amount of information presented is somewhat overwhelming but given the context of a presentation of cosmic and spiritual realities at a level that we can grasp and understand, this is again, just notation. If you have a fiery curiosity and some level of dedication you will find many answers to your questions .

Great use for an iPhone. A 2000 + page celestial history book in the palm of your hand. It’s so much more convenient that I’m rereading for the first time in 45 years!!!🙂
