The Village Bank

App fails to load about 1/2 the time, it says it “can’t load credit sense” and then is stuck.

I love the Village Bank. Talk to a human. Great free overdraft protection, if you add it. Personalized attention. Capable staff. Free checks. I do not live close to the bank now, but I still use it.

The app is very slow to open and slow to navigate between tabs. A large part of the screen is taken up by ‘ads’ of limited use (eg for a product I have or otherwise doesn’t apply) leading me to wonder whether the time to switch pages is related to the time it takes to load these informational tidbits. The bank says it uses these to communicate with customers but they really are of limited use, there’s no way to dismiss ones which just don’t apply, and most of all, they make it harder to use the app to get banking done which is why I opened the app in the first place. It’s bad enough I’m going to look for another bank which is a shame because other than this, I like these folks.

Of all the apps I have for various reasons, Your app works without any problems at all. Keep up the fantastic work.
