The Vinyl Guide

Nate is a really great interviewer (coming from a former journalist) and he really gets in depth with his subjects. Sure, there’s lots of nerdery, too, and who can’t get behind that?! Especially vinyl and music nerds! Also, the app is killer! It’s really easy to use and intuitive and I love how each episode saves your place. I can listen at work and then finish in my car easily enough and so on and so forth. The only thing I wish it had was a search feature (maybe it does and I’ve missed it?!) or something that sort of filters by interviewee or something so you don’t have to scroll the whole list, but that’s only a small complaint! It’s one of my favorite things to listen to, and doesn’t hurt that Nate and I have similar tastes in music! Even the stuff I’m not very interested in is fascinating! Great stuff! Get it!

I just got back into vinyl collecting after 17 years hiatus (after the devastating loss of my original collection in a house flood). Not only does Nate provide great great information in an entertaining format but he’s made me re-appreciate the society and culture around this great hobby including tons of information on record stores and shows. I second all the other positive reviews (especially the interviews).

I’ve been listening to the Vinyl Guide for a year or so. I’ve discovered so many amazing albums and heard so many cool stories by old punkers. Thank you Nate for all you do. When I find work, I will definitely be a patron on Patreon.com.

Great way to listen to the Vinyl Guide podcast. If you are new to the podcast, you are in for a real treat! Nate Goyer is a fantastic and insightful host and a great interviewer. The guest can’t be beaten and there is so much valuable info for record collectors and music nerds. The app appears to be very simple and well thought out. The information provided is a must for record lovers and music lovers in general. I'm constantly referring back to old episodes for information I can't find anywhere else.
