Therm-ic Heat control

It works fine. But once I pack my ski boots up for 3-4 weeks I have to delete the app. Re download it & set it up again. It just won’t work after a period of time. . After I re downloaded It took me less that 2 minutes today to set it up but it’s annoying. And again at least 4 times since I wrote this review.

The therm-ic socks are decent, the app is rubbish. I’d like to see more battery information, a better percentage for the battery level and a prediction of runtime based on current temperature settings. I’d expect more for the money to be Honest, these aren’t cheap socks.

After the latest upgrade the heating system doesn’t work anymore in my boots. Another product that is very expensive and worth basically nothing. One star too much.

Paired to the watch ok, but missing part of the right hand view the + part is missing so I can only decrease the heat, was fine before the last update .

The app on my phone works fine this Apple Watch version simply will not work. It tells you to open the app on your phone to set up then fails it will not work or install and is a total waste of time that should be removed from the store. Therm IC should not be allowed to illustrate on their packaging that their product works with Apple Watch when they can not provide the app to support their claim

The app shows the units as heating even when the battery is disconnected. Can’t trust this or the battery level. For the price of the inserts, it is unconscionable that the app is so bad. Embarrassing.

Aside from this regularly disconnecting, I had to uninstall and reinstall these multiple times for the Bluetooth to recognize the signal. Great idea, doesn’t work.

I am now in year 2 with this very disappointing heater system. It absolutely never works properly. At the beginning of the day it can start burning my feet. I turn it down and it quits heating. I reset it and maybe it works for a run. Maybe. Bought with Surefoot that I think should refund the cost of the battery’s and discontinue being this reflects very badly on their boots.

Does not work at all. Total failure. Do not waste your money. Do not waste your money. Do not waste your money.

I’m surprised by the ratings and other review; my experience with Therm-ic heated clothing (and this app) has been excellent. I use the heated vest and heated socks. Bluetooth control works well and has been consistent for me. The Apple Watch app makes it easy to adjust temperature from the ski lift without having to get my phone out. I prefer to have full control over my heat settings so I don’t use the eco or motion control modes, but they seemed to work as advertised when I tested them. Be sure to upgrade your battery packs to the latest firmware if they come with an old version. And if your ski group is waiting for you to get out the door, whatever you do, don’t tell them “I’ll be ready soon I just need to upgrade the firmware in my socks.” :)
