TideApp

There are so few places listed, one could get into a real mess as the tide times for where one is are not at all clear. So, frankly this app is dangerous as is, and cannot be relied upon for any accurate predictions. I also found that when I searched for ports near me, it just shows a continual spinner, and retrieved no ports at all. There are far better apps for tidal predictions, and I’ll be getting one of those, and/or just using a simple web page or tide tables from local retail outlets!

Chart is much more superficial and looks terrible and ineffective when viewed in landscape. As others have said, you can’t pick a spot on the time line anymore so you’ll know precise data, you just have to guesstimate. Much poorer than it was. Only updated because of ios11. Held off as long as I could because the thought of Adverts in this update was already annoying. Lo and behold, after updating they are annoying. I’m just going to use a plumbline and a chart from now on like matey out of Riddle of the Sands. Or just guess from the phases of the moon.

Would like the ability to zoom in on graph and swipe along to see future tide values on graph.

This app used to be so useful to me but not now. Latest update taken away some features that I used all the time. I particularly used to like being able to drag finger along tide line so could see where tide would be at certain time. Also, crashes quite a lot and the ads!!!!

The only purpose of this application is to display game advertising, you can't get beyond it

I hand a yacht at Burnham on crouch and I get my tides from Walton on the naze which doesn't exist on this app.

With rumours of TidesPlanner being soon unavailable I had hoped this would be a suitable replacement. Number of customers, as reported on the app store, would seem to indicate that this tides app is superior. Don't you believe it. This app has dreadfully unreadable contrast, problems with orientation, (at least on the iPad), and displays only minimal data on screen at a time. No tide tables to scroll, no interactive, comparative heights or clearances, (as TidesPlanner does). However it IS free, so if you want to save some pennies, buy this App instead of TidesPlanner.

.... Change your colours. It's next to useless in bright sunlight!!

Does what it says on the tin, with no fuss and no adds. Great....

Still damaged by the update. Slower, crashes frequently and the graph view is far worse than it used to be: unscrollable, no indication of "now" and no indication of night/day - all of which were there (and useful) before. Please go back to the old version or I will be forced to find a different Tide app.
