Easy and good material
I try and use this app once a day to practice my reading, the dictionary and the translation make it super easy. The only problem for me is I sometimes can not navigate around the site easily and possibly to use it to its full potential.
Hi app developers, I am trying to access the news videos but the app wont allow me to do so, is there any help that I can get? thank you!!!
I really like this app, has so many fantastic features and invaluable for learning Japanese through immersion and reading. Would it be possible to add an option so that I can save my favourite songs/videos and come back to them later? I know you can do this for news articles which is very useful. I also wish to ask, is there a setting to enable pitch accent notation on words in the dictionary? Thank you!
I often see the furigana for the dates are wrong. Also, the reading voice is so robotic it sounds… well, like robot. It’s so unnatural. I paid £11 or something for annual (although I can’t remember exactly how much or for how long. Might have been for two years??) subscription. However, no matter how cheap, it was a waste of money becauseI I can’t use it for my students due to the aforementioned faults of this app.
This is app is absolutely amazing. Not only can you read articles based on your level and look up words immediately without the disruption of having to switch to a dictionary, you can also practice the words you’ve just seen with flash cards that have images for better memorisation. There are also further tests and jlpt prep which seems great. I am very impressed with this app and would recommend to anyone who wants to learn or simply keep their Japanese alive. Thank you for creating this!
This app is absolutely fantastic for Japanese reading practice— I wholeheartedly recommend it. However… the amount of notifications is truly unbearable. It’s really nice to receive occasional notifications of news articles to help with study motivation. However, almost daily you will receive countless notifications to the tune of “last chance for 50% off!” “This Sunday, 50% off last chance!” “Final last ever 50% discount!” Last? Huh. If you haven’t deleted the app already, and all of the strange looking “User feedbacks” listed in the app haven’t convinced you, don’t worry— it’ll be 50% off again next week…
Excellent app for learning Japanese at every level. You can pick the difficulty of each article, customise which words you want to see furigana for (eg N2 and above) and listen to the article as well. Updates regularly throughout the day, so you always have a fresh news story to read. Highly recommend!
I have premium and have just updated to the new version. However, sometimes I still have ads. And banners telling me to go Premium. Seems to happen on new versions. I had to delete the app completely. Download again. Sign in and then everything seems ok. Otherwise, the best app out there for leaning Japanese via the news.
