Feature Request for CarPlay: Progress Bar & Dashboard Mode Compatibility
Dear TomTom Amigo Development Team, I hope this message finds you well. First, I would like to express my appreciation for the functionality and user-friendly experience provided by the TomTom Amigo app. It has become an essential tool for many of us navigating the roads. However, as a loyal user, I would like to kindly request the addition of two crucial features to enhance the app’s integration with CarPlay: 1. Progress Bar Visibility in CarPlay: • The progress bar is a highly useful visual indicator of the trip’s progress on the iPhone version of the app. Unfortunately, this feature is currently missing in the CarPlay version. • Having the progress bar displayed in CarPlay would provide a seamless user experience, allowing drivers to track their progress on their vehicle’s infotainment screen without needing to glance at their phone. 2. Compatibility with Dashboard Mode in CarPlay: • Many users prefer the split-screen Dashboard Mode in CarPlay for its convenience in showing navigation, media, and vehicle data simultaneously. • Currently, TomTom Amigo does not support this mode, which is a significant drawback compared to competing apps. Adding this compatibility would make TomTom Amigo more versatile and user-friendly for CarPlay users. These features would not only improve the app’s usability but also align TomTom Amigo more closely with the expectations of CarPlay users. As a community, we’ve seen multiple users voice similar requests, and it would be a pity for such valuable feedback to go unaddressed. I trust that the development team values user input, and I hope these suggestions can be considered for future updates. Please let me know if further clarification is needed, and thank you for your continued dedication to improving TomTom Amigo.
