When creating off-tonal custom workouts to supplement cardio while on shift for 24 hours, the app constantly stalls, making the workout difficult because you have to keep hitting the play button in the middle after not realizing it has stopped. This is super frustrating. Otherwise, the app is convenient for searching and scheduling new workouts.

I am in love with our Tonal. As a mom of two young children (3 and 1) with a full time job outside the home, my fitness couldn’t have been a priority this year without Tonal. The ability to maximize my time in my own home has been an absolute game changer. The varying weight modes, easy to follow guides, fun routines, and multiple features have reinvigorated my love for movement. The data tracking in the app is the cherry on top as it allows me to focus and releases mental space to design and modify my activity. My body has changed quite a bit from two pregnancies, two c sections, and two breastfeeding journeys so the ability to review my form and get realtime feedback is invaluable. My request to the app developers, can you please add buttons to the stats section under total workouts so we can filter by different time periods, especially YTD? Thanks in advance!

Tonal is a life changer. The systematic training is remarkable.

It needs to list which parts of the shoulder delts are worked in movements for shoulders. It’s be awesome if it had a feature where you could favorite movements and also filter to show only your fav movements when creating a custom workout. I love making the custom workouts but there are some exercises I like but don’t want to add to my current custom workout until a later date when I change them up. Being able to favorite movements would make them easier to find without having to sort thru the ones I never use.

If you don’t use every single feature of the tonal, the price + always raising subscription cost aren’t worth it. $65/mo just to use a machine you already paid $$$$ is robbery. If you cut the subscription, it’s a very basic magnetized weight stack stuck on your wall. Not all of us are gym buffs that live and die to lift. I enjoy weights, but offer some sort of middle ground pricing, like keeping pairing with your watch and smart features, but not offering live classes or courses. The courses and instructors are great, but not everyone needs to train like that.

Full gym in the comfort of your home

I have had Tonal for a year and I just canceled my membership because I can’t afford $60 a month on top of the financing for the equipment. I didn’t realize in the fine print when I bought my Tonal that there is a mandatory 12 month period of paid membership. That’s an additional $720 on top of the $4000 for the machine and equipment. If I wanted to pay $60 a month I would get a gym membership. I bought this machine so that I don’t have to go to the gym. I shouldn’t be forced to pay $60 a month to use it. I just wanted to provide some feedback for consideration. If you were able to offer a tiered subscription for different values I would be very interested in that. For example basic features for $20 a month to connect the Apple Watch and use some of the smart features. Realistically I don’t use the trainers and courses which is why I assume this is $60 a month. I only use the free weight portion and make my own workout. I would love to use the smart features too but it’s not worth it for $60 a month. So I am going to use it as a basic cable machine now like a gym. Honestly it’s sad that $4000 machine has no smart features at all if you don’t pay $60 a month for a membership. I feel like for the $4000 price to buy the machine and equipment that alone should pay for SOME if not ALL features. I hope you will consider this in the future. Also I hope that you will consider military/veteran discounts for the services as well. I’m not sure that this comment will help but I wanted to let you know why after a year I will not be continuing my membership. I love the machine, and I am very disappointed that your company forces a membership to use its features. Thank you for your consideration.
