Tone Generator EX

Super great app, especially being free! I may not be using it though because I will likely need to tune down to 415 depending on the harpsichord I tune. It would be great if the app allowed A to be all the way down to 380 hz or so.

Great app. I plan to use it as a function generator to test vintage amplifier. It would be great if it had a stereo output capability.

Absolutely love this app, it serves my needs very well.

Unlike virtually all of the other signal tone generators apps on the AppStore, this one is truly free and doesn’t have a nag screen for subscriptions or spam you with ads. GUI/UX is smart and simple, and the app works as expected. Generates a proper sine wave that you can use to calibrate equipment. I verified the accuracy of the signal test tones being generated with a chromatic tuner. They are 100% spot on. if I had any complaint, it’s that this app hasn’t been updated in over two years, so it’s anyone’s guess if it will keep working with regular iPad OS updates. As of 16.5.1, it’s working fine. The only other improvement I’d ask for is to be able to directly type in frequencies. having to virtually spin a pot is irritating and archaic. but for free it’s hard to complain! Anyway, time to calibrate the speed on my old cassette deck.

One thing I would find useful is an output level attenuator in dB. Also would help to return to a specific level. Over all it is very useful

This app is great for individual sound frequencies, especially when it comes to the exact decimal needed in 0/100’s. Would be cool to have a automated frequency dial in which you can control the speed of rate in which you go up in hertz level. Also so when dialing trough tone pitches it would sound smoother, like a controlled assent and descent. Otherwise this a perfect app for sound frequencies.

I am disappointed because it only has volume and waveform it has no duty cycle to control things

It won’t allow you to go lower than 15 hz

This app is so useful and handy. You can even create your own solfeggio based on 432 Hz
