This app is filled with fake accounts. As soon as you sign up you are bombarded with messages from a lot of profiles, all of which have the exact same message. You have to pay to video chat with people or to use filters in your searches. Do not waste your time or money on this app

If you love getting hit up by non-stop bots and scammers, then this is the app for you! If you want to report those same bots and scammers and get an IMMEDIATE reply from Tophy that the account in question is neither a bot nor a scammer (the incredible speed with which they conduct a thorough investigation in less that 3 seconds!), then you’ll love this app. If you love the phrase “this app,” as in “What are you looking for on this app?” a phrase the bots and scammers love to use (having clearly never understood the purpose of “this app”), then Tophy is for you!

If you report someone, you instantly receive an automated message saying they aren’t doing anything. Despite being set as lesbian it keeps showing men by default until you select the already selected preference again. A lot of fakes and limited filtering for preferences. Chats constantly fail to send and you are forced to close the app and reopen it to send messages.

It has been monetized beyond means, it used to be an adult sex app for online sex stuff, with toys and talking and pictures. Now it’s super extremely kid friendly. There is straight sexism ( saying only females can charge to help improve the app, while any non female account can’t charge and is forced to deal with bots ) Filters do not work heck they don’t even exist on where you want them. The feed doesn’t update and only shows what it wants to rather than new post or filtered post or relevant content. The ai is cool but has been heavily restricted making a lot of the ai just not function. There’s a survey link doesn’t even work. App used to be a great adult app that worked well with a few bugs, and rather than fixing bugs they retrofitted and completely changed the app while leaving old bugs. This app is honestly not worth your time, and also should have 0 payed content on it when the toys already cost 100-300$, but it’s 2020 so everything has to have microtransactions….. ( edit for the main points… Sexism hardcoded to the app, devs refuse to change or modify, only women can charge to sell there bodies price can be 100$ per min if they choose. Discriminatory, app will not care about your sexuality and assume you are straight, as there are no filters to change this the app just doesn’t care. The feed is pushed to cator to popular people and will never show you good content or recommended content, only the most popular. This app is heavily restricted to the point it’s not worth using. Can’t forget to add on the bots and scamers not to mention the app itself is scamming its customers. ) Absolute shame.

I do love this app because it’s connected me with good friends and now I’ve a girlfriend through Tophy haha

I would say this app is good save for lack of privacy, in order to get any you have to set a rate for video and voice, which is also against guidelines to talk about. May I suggest making a privacy feature that let’s one filter out who gets to see their profile? Such as where you can set it to mutual or friends only? Rather than having to create pay wall? This would solve the bot issue and the people who are scam artists being an issue greatly.

This app blowsssss. And not in a good way.

After a few attempts to reach the creator I’m going with the classic one star - too many fake profiles, the app itself sends notifications for messages that don’t exist. Sick of the clutter, sick of the false notifications.
