V0ST Brand introduces Torques Racquet Sport the reinvention of an Ancient Game with the High Tech Twist of T2 Rally Scoring Technology. We have re-invented this ancient sport, incorporating historic design elements and game strategy, along with state-of-the-art materials and sports equipment technology, to introduce Torques as an exciting contemporary professional action-sport. The Torques Timer or T2 rally timer is the official scorekeeping technology of the Global Torques Organization www.GlobalTorques.Org and was developed as a new way to score Torques Racquet Sport. This rally timer technology can be used to score any rally sport such as Ping Pong, Volleyball or Tennis. The T2 system scores the length of the rally to give the rally a time related value; the longer the rally the more rally it’s worth.
The application offers a unique stopwatch feature to allow Torques players to time each rally (Rally Timer). Each second equals one point. For example, a 10-second rally would be worth 10 points. A rally begins when the shuttlecock is served and ends when the shuttlecock goes out of bounds or not returnable.
The T2 uses three main windows to score a game: a Rally Timer window, a Player 1 window, and a Player 2 window. The app allows for player names to be entered into their corresponding window.
Once the Rally Timer has stopped, the numeric value is then added to the winning player’s window by pressing the Award button that corresponds to either the Player 1 window or Player 2 window. The player windows track the cumulative total of points for that player. A game consists of 50, 100, 150 or 200 seconds. The first player to achieve the selected seconds wins the game.A match consists of the best 2 out of 3 games, 3 out of 5 games, 4 out of 7 games, 5 out of 9 games as determined by the players.
The T2 will also provide a digital time function to indicate the actual “clock time” for each game (elapsed game time EGT) and total match time (TMT) for entire match. The TMT consists of the time from the first rally played of the match to the last winning rally.
The T2 app will require a score keeper to score the match. Both players names have to be input into the App before the Match is started. The score keeper will ask if both players are ready. When both Players are ready the serving player will put the shuttle into play. Once the shuttle is Served is scorekeeper will start the rally timer GO button. Once the rally is over due to the shuttle going out of bounds or is un returnable the Stop button is pushed which stops the rally timer. Assuming the players agree on who won the rally, this rally time is Awarded to the winning player. A game is won when the first player totals the predetermined game total of 50, 100, 150 or 200 seconds is reached. A Match can be best 2 out of 3 games, 3 out of 5 games, 4 out of 7 games, 5 out of 9 games.
The evolution of the T2 will be an iWatch T2 app will wirelessly link players through their individual T2 apps giving each player access to game scoring while wearing their watch. This feature will enable players to both start and stop the Rally Timer as soon as the rally ends. The player that loses the rally will want to stop the timer as fast as possible. This linked functionality allows both players participate in scoring the match.
The T2 will store match results and statistics for review. The T2 Rally Scoring System it’s time to Score!!
Ancient Origins
The history of Torques is immersed in the arts of warfare such as archery, fencing, darts, wrestling, and other modern games. Torques began as a weapon for combat, self-defense and hunting. Torques were at first thrown at the enemy, then a sling was used, and evidence suggests that early fifth century B.C. Gauls and Britons used wood-handled rods to project them with great speed, accuracy, and strike force.
