About half of the links don’t work!
Wake Forest is a beautiful town with amazing people but this app is useless. I would rather use the website in a browser.
The Town of WF switched to this new app and it’s horrible! Don’t waste your time downloading. It doesn’t send notifications and half the time it won’t even open up!
Initially I thought this was a great site, and when I would receive a notification it was easy to see what area on the town information was new. Now, I continue to accrue notifications (up to 4 now) but absolutely cannot see what those 4 notifications apply to. So, should be easy to report this glitch to the Developer, right? NOPE—there is Evidently no way to do this. For this reason, I’m giving this App a 1 star. Fix the problem!!!
Newest update removed the Wake Forest Power shortcut on the Home Screen of the app. Other than receiving messages from the town, this shortcut was the best use for the app. They’ve replaced it with the SeeClickFix function, which is a very specific niche use. Even then, when I go to the menu it’s almost impossible to navigate to the Wake Forest Power bill pay page… Just disappointing they made that change for seemingly no reason.
It will not let you log in it says account can’t be found and there’s so much more wrong with the app it’s a month behind or a month ahead on billing I’ll tell you you’re in the negatives it won’t let you on auto pay this whole app is useless it only works half of the time and the online website is not any better but when that bill comes around they seem to forget that they lost their account information they want their money
Couldn't get the screen to change from a blurred tree logo. Not very convenient....
Why does this app stop my music playing every time I open it?
Overall, a good app for getting Town-related info fast. I've been using it pretty much since it was released. I like the alerts that show up via Messages—things like road closures and power/traffic light outages. Those help a lot and are posted/updated quickly. That being said, here are the things that really bug me: 1. No landscape mode. It will only view in portrait mode. This is fine for some things, but the calendar and other website pages that it displays get really squished. For example, if the width of a column of text on a web page is set to a certain percentage of the page's width, it will reduce to a certain percentage of your phone's width when held vertically. So it looks like one long skinny column, which is harder to read and you end up scrolling a lot. 2. Messages that don't pertain to or interest me: I just reached out to someone to ask this very question, but it seems, as of right now, that there is no way to fine-tune which Messages I receive. For example, I am a single working adult with no kids and don't need to know about Puppet Theater or if Youth Basketball is canceled due to rain.
This is a great idea for a town in the age of smart phones. The "Back" button does not work, and some articles are fit into 1/4 of the screen so that only 2 words are on a line. As long as Wake Forest officials keep this app up to date, then it will be a great tool. Should be more widely advertised to citizens though.
