App sends reports to the wrong location

JonasInFruta on

Track Til Guard Tour has consistently sent my reports to the wrong location, it has cost me and others their ability to work at certain locations due to this egregious issue. It shows that inam cocked in in the right location but sends my reports to another. I am NOT happy

Same app to accounts

I really like this app It’s very easy common sense but my thing is with the two jobs that I have they both use the same app now every time I log out I’m supposed to login for the other account but unfortunately, the way I have to do it. I have to delete the app reinstall the appand login to my account there was a way to go all the way back from the beginning to put in my second jobs information and to clock in instead of having to delete the app, reinstall the app and log back in for the second job

No way to see clock in and clock out times on past jobs

Pixelwizard on

Vereinigte Staaten

I use Track tic on behalf of the company I work for. Everything on the app is intuitive and works fine but I want to be able to see my past history. There is a calendar there and I can see past jobs that I was scheduled for but what I’d like to see is my clock in and clock out times per those jobs as well. Currently that is not possible. I hope a further update will allow me to see my past clock in and clock out times of past jobs I completed included as part of the calendar feature

I can’t login

Bad software makes bad business. Button placement causes typos.

zzz97 on

Vereinigte Staaten

Incompetent app, design with incompetent Ergonomics Month, and asinine decisions on how the app should work, and where the buttons should be placed are resulting in trouble for the company. Bad software causes bad business. By ignoring common sense Ergonomics, which would make the app functional for human beings and useful to businesses, TrackTik is proving that it is substandard software. If we have a 6 inch screen on a phone, then the edit button, and the send button should be at least 1 inch apart to prevent accidentally sending typos. If the screen of the phone is at least 5 inches high, in there should be at least 2 inches for a text box every single time, and you should not have text boxes that are one character high, because it is hard to draft a statement in a tiny text box like that. My bosses don’t want me to take a photograph, sign my signature, and fill in the tedious details for all ten checkpoints, for eight patrols a night. They would have to look through every single one, and it’s a lot of extra work for them. They prefer for me to have “incomplete” patrol tours with the yellow checkmark. It is best to fill out a green, check mark with a photograph and a blurb and a signature, and a timestamp only when there is something worthy of note. Instead of just letting guards complete the patrol, TrackTik forces you to write an explanation of why you didn’t take a picture, sign your signature, and make a blurb for every single door, for 10 doors, for 8 patrols a night. So I have to “explain why the patrol is ‘incomplete.’” This is the weakness of the mandate system, when everything is by mandate and force, the incompetence of the dictator becomes apparent. When you play dumb games, you get dumb prizes. Tracktik seems to want to mandate or force or coerce security guards into explaining themselves unnecessarily, and this causes tracktik to become very poor ergonomics, resulting in bad business. The problem with this is that the button for send, the miniscule text box, and the button for cancel, are very close together, and instead of a nice square text box, we have a very thin and narrow slit of a text line. It’s almost as if you are trying to punish security guards by giving them a minuscule tax box, in a minuscule pop-up window, with all the buttons to close together. It would be very inappropriate for tracktik to be doing that since traffic is only supposed to be providing software to help businesses flourish. My thick sausage fingers are not

report writing scrambled

zzz97 on

Vereinigte Staaten

Whenever I am editing a report and writing one up, very very often almost every single time the text will become invisible, and will take wherever I am writing, perhaps at the bottom of the paragraphs and will relocate the new text to some other location in the paragraph. So if I was writing the final sentence on the bottom of my report, whatever I wrote, and whatever I write subsequently will end up somewhere in the middle. It becomes very hard to fix this error, while the text is also becoming invisible every other Letter that is tight, or every third letter that is typed. Typing a letter may cause the entire text to become invisible, backspacing will cause it to become visible, and typing two or three more letters make cause it to become visible again. Every second or third or fourth letter causes a text to become either visible or invisible like a light switch.••• I may select a single sentence to delete, and it may delete several paragraphs instead even though I did not select those paragraphs. It’s completely scrambled. It makes it very difficult to make a report. It is very discouraging and upsetting to write some thing that is very good and then have a deleted and not be able to precisely remember how to repeat it again.••• And when I scan and NFC tag the notification from the phone tag has been successfully scanned stays on my screen anywhere from 10 to 20 seconds or longer. Unless I manually swipe it away or dismiss it, it stays there and it’s annoying because I know that the NFC has indeed been scanned. it’s unnecessary and it’s inconvenient to have to keep swiping it out of the way. The fact that I have entered the checkpoint details page with time, date, signature, narrative, etc. … is proof enough that I have successfully scanned the NFC. I don’t need that notification; it’s really really really annoying so that’s why I’m giving a one star review.

App degrades pictures

Splo123 on

When you take pictures in the app do reports it degrades the picture. So if you ever need to go to court the images are not useful because you can barely make out words or numbers. Sometimes you can make out stuff. They need to fix the issue with the pictures being degraded.

Needs some work !!

—when clocking out, the app shows a list of options “clock out and sign out”, “clock out and stay signed in” etc. there’s no reason to have this menu and it’s infuriating to have to deal with it every day. —also, my shift ends at 6, yet When I open the app at 6 o’clock, it tells me I have a break in 30 minutes. —The app keeps tracking my location in the background, even though it says it only tracks my location around the time I clock in and out, Very invasive.

TrackTik and iPhones don’t mix!

phx cole on

Vereinigte Staaten

For the past 6 years this app has caused nothing but problems on iPhones. Things get better, but then either TrackTik has an update or the iOS updates and issues start all over again. There is maybe a total of 4 months out of the year without major issues causing us headaches. If you have to use this app you are better off getting an android phone.

Alarm feature activated by the slightest movement

Chaseallan on

Vereinigte Staaten

Every time I’m on shift I accidentally set off the alarm feature, which then goes to my dispatch. If you have the app open, and you shake your phone even just one flick the alarm goes off. It’s way too sensitive and the alarm shake feature is a very bad idea. You’d be better off having a shake feature. Turn on your flashlight. The app itself is clunky with way too much going on in more slim, Simplified version would be better.
