Perfect App
I was using in the past FileZilla, but I see that Transmit 5 is a better app. It supports multple protocols and the spped of transfer is fantastic. Great app.

Transmit, best FTP I've used on mac.
As a webdeveloper I use Transmit to connect to multiple servers over FTP. I've used it alot, it has an intuitif UI, is easy to use, reliable and fast.

There's no free version as indicated everywhere. Only a 7 day trial.
Simply the best
And not only for its icon ;) the easy way to transfer your data from a source to another (no matter the protocol) between every kind of platform.
purchase via Mac App Store will ONLY allow subscription model !
if you get Transmit via the panic website, you can actually BUY it for life. With the App Store version, you pay a yearly fee, which I (personally) find a shady business model even though more and more companies are moving towards it... I hope Panic will keep BOTH methods and not move to pay-to-use instead of pay-to-own... Sad times that it is coming to this since I have been a transmit user for 10 years at least.. don't know if I will upgrade to version 5 (currently using version 4) but for sure i will NOT be doing so via the App store

Best FTP app
I have been using Filezilla for over 8 years now and now I realize how much I have been missing. Transmit is leaps and bounds ahead of Filezilla in every respect. Loved the interface and options too.
